Back Pain Brothers + Tiny Wristcels Do This
Dead hang for 20 minutes a day. You can spread it out over the course of a day but it's better to do it in a condensed session.
With your dead hangs, if you aim for longer sets (i.e. a 60 second hang x 5 x 4) with palms facing forward you might see some tendon strength and wrist growth by up to half an inch. (3/4 months time)
And assume a ATG squat position for 30 minutes a day, you can also spread this out over the course of the day.
Do this for at least 30 days and report back

I try to do some hangs every day because they're good for posture. 20 minutes seems excessive though.

It's more for brothers who are in constant pain. If you've just thrown it out, do the usual r and r. But if you have persistent issues, I recommend the above. It'll align all sorts of things that are slightly out of place and allows some things to open up when you're in such an extended and stretched out position.
Try to get a sports massage/deep tissue once a month too if you can.

And I'll sometimes squat when chitting, far better for the colon

There are a lot of people who have TISSUE issues, which dead hangs will do nothing for.
They aren't going to fix tight/bad tissue quality in the hip flexors, which are going to be constantly pulling at the back.

but at the very least dead hangs will help to stretch/loosen/decompress your spine and associated muscles, is very good for shoulder health and blood flow. and on top of that you strengthen your hands, grip and forearms. so there isn't really a down side to it at the same time. we kill our shoulders and backs by sitting down 8+ hours a day. dead hangs are pretty much the exact opposite of this and then some.
i do 60 seconds x 5 dead hangs everytime i go to the gym dedsrs

If that were the case, inversion tables would be much more valuable than they are.
