Biden student loan forgiveness BLOCKED by conservative courts; young voters ANGRY

https://www.forbes.com/sites/alisond...h=1f64b4304017

Conservative courts doing good work for the democrats. It always always very difficult to get young people out to vote, but with abortion rights on the line and now student loan forgiveness being blocked, young voters are going to come out HARD in 2024 for democrats, even more than they did in the midterms. In 2020 I put a few grand on Biden to win, I'm thinking about pushing $20k on democrats winning the presidency, it's pretty much a lock.

I used to get pissed at democrats being politically retarded, but they really learned a lot from 2016. Since 2018 they've really stepped up their political game. I wouldn't be surprised if the house shifts back to democrat in 2024 at this rate.

They really do have it figured out. Promise everything and let the courts/conservatives do the right/constitutional thing which is going to piss off voters and turn them against republicans. They know that these days people rarely vote FOR a candidate/party as much as they vote AGAINST one.

Its a court ruling it as unlawful, not some republican congressmen. I know you lefties believe in subverting the law in the name of politics, but thankfully some courts do not.

-Separation of powers. Student loan forgiveness HAS TO be done through Congress. A 12 yr old could tell you what Biden did was unconstitutional.

Its not really "falling for dem bait". The court is doing its job. Dems are just exploiting it. They know it wont get through courts. They know they will earn points for trying. They know they can blame conservatives on it not coming to fruition. The court can't just say "oh Dems are trying to gain some political points here, this is totally unconstitutional, but we're gonna let it through to avoid that".

I think the point is that Dems probably know this will not make it through the courts. I don't even know if they truly WANT it to. They're playing the political game of showing voters they're trying to do all the wonderful things for them, and when it gets tossed they look like the good guy for trying. They can't be blamed for it failing, the other side is to blame.

100%. They don't want anything to actually happen because then they couldn't campaign on it.

This is exactly right. Biden has been playing 4D galactic chess all along. He made sure the DNC focused on abortion and the cultural war in the midterms. He made sure to highlight proponents of the Big Lie. He put DNC resources behind Trump backed election deniers.

Confidently incorrect people like you are cringe.

Other student loan forgiveness programs have previously been authorized by Congress when they passed the Higher Education Act of 1965 and the Heroes Act. Biden's executive order is simply a formal written instruction to the secretary of education in the normal course of managing / administrating the operations at ED using powers previously granted to the office by Congress.

The Heroes Act clearly states the president through the secretary of education can dismiss debt for those impacted by declared disasters or emergencies. We already saw Trump abuse his powers already granted to him by Congress, Biden might as well do the same. Of course republicans would be upset because this would be helping the common man instead of corporations.

The corruption was thick - no one went to jail, American citizens got cucked HARD, and fat bonuses were still paid. Essentially zero consequences and they've continued to bend people over in the background while republicans focus on banning abortion, denying elections, and blocking student loan forgiveness. If there were actually consequences to the GFC then fine, but there weren't.

I could very easily pay it off, I'm just not retarded. It's obvious forgiveness is going to happen, or at least an indefinite pause on interest/payments which is already happening. Even if I already paid it off, I'd still support this. Just think of it like a corporate bail out but for the common man instead

Not true - Manchin would not have allowed it given he's basically a republican. Doesn't matter though, the Heroes Act already gives Biden the authority to do it.

Srs question (and I know you're just a beat cop so you probably don't know but I'll ask anyway). What percentage of $100k+ college debt students have useless degrees and work at Starbucks? And what percentage are going on to great careers?

This is similar to you idiots thinking all left leaning people support trannie story time and that teachers are indoctrinating your kids (not you you're forever alone) etc.

For not knowing what planet he's on, he curbstomped Trump in the debate. He's way gotten way BIGLY legislation past in less than two years than Trump in four. In fact, only the tax cuts for the rich move the needle on legislative "wins" for Trump.

He avoided a red anything in the midst of horrible economic conditions left over from Trump. No more masks, no more fear of covid.

Dang, Biden has done a great job not knowing what planet he's on.

How stupid can you be to actually think that this forgiveness stuff is actually going to happen.
"To be a warrior is not a simple matter of wishing to be one. It is rather an endless struggle that will go on to the very last moment of our lives. Nobody is born a warrior, in exactly the same way that nobody is born an average man. We make ourselves into one or the other."-- Carlos Castaneda

For the banks I was referring to '08. And Big Country didn't qualify his comment. The small businesses didn't have to accept any money.
