It’s really fukking amazing watching him navigate our place, and even seek out the puppy to play. Melts our hearts every time lol
It's a controversial topic with dog owners but the whole fascination with breeds annoys the **** out of me. More so on the looks/aesthetic side of things. There's something inherently wrong (obviously, IMO) with going dawwwww over a smushed up face like a bulldog's or super mini dogs. These breeds are unnatural. It really is a butcher job like you say. How can you want to propagate a breed that struggles to breathe? Just because you find the look cute you are ok with animal being uncomfortable, or worse....so icky.

I do get the temperament side of things. Every dog owner has a different scale of what type of personality they are able to responsibly take on and are attracted to.

But designer dogs are atrocious. ___ doodle phenomena has me shaking me head at dog parks. People that want unusual looking dogs...just don't get how that's the basis of wanting a companion, which what I consider a dog.

Both bunnies now passed away, got a new puppy. Don’t judge the dirtiness of the floors, it’s impossible to keep anything clean with this puppy + spring time

We bought a home and moved in last month. Butcher had the place mapped out in a week... it's fukking mind blowing... His favorite things so far is how many places he has to sunbathe (front, back, and side yards), and concrete floors to cool down on.

excuse the mess, we are ripping out everything here except the trees

he loves his blankie too much to not be on it even when trying to cool down, but he hangs his head off to still get that cool cool concrete

Just removed all the brick, and concrete to be removed next week

Your lucky he uses the blankie instead of laying completely on the floor to cool down. I have to constantly tell my dog to get tf off the floor in the summer cause she sleeps in my bed. Eventually I give up.

I thought thread would still be active. Bumped for puppy owners. Cats are ok but I love dogs.

I’m moving into a smaller place. So no longer a foster to the rescues but I volunteer at 2 different ones still. I help to rehab and then find homes for them when healthy.

But for the move I only have my dogs coming with me. Birds to an aviary. Reptiles all sold for money to add to funds. My fish tank is pretty big I don’t care to drain and take it with me so I agreed I’m just leaving it for the new people moving in they said fine we’d love it blah blah blah.

Only hard ones I was bonded to were the sugar gliders they were hard to say goodbye to.

But yeah zoo is gone
I have 2 dogs still. Will never ever let them go!
And I’m gone too by mid Jan. I’m bringing them with me. I’d never leave my doggos!

It was a fun venture I met a lot of beautiful people in the hobby. I learned a lot of interesting things about these creatures and I made a little money but was mostly for love of labor. And I feel I need to move on.

I volunteer in a canine rescue and then my friends chihuahua only rescue. I used to dislike the chihuahuas but I’ve really taken a shine to the toy breed. Never thought I could. But the couple who own it have given me an appreciation for them. I’m not gay btw.

After the loss of my 8 year old Boxer, Lincoln, my 9 year old Boxer, Louie, would pace my house and howl for hours- seemingly calling to his pack. Saddest thing ever so I found out that Lincoln's breeder from 8 years ago just had a new set of puppies for sale. So I got this little guy and named him Maverick. So far he's a typical puppy terror but extremely sweet and just loves to curl up into a little ball next to me when I lay down.

Sorry to hear you had to give up your zoo, but that's great about volunteering at the rescues! And glad you're taking your doggos with you!

So very sorry for your loss of your sweet boy Lincoln. Oh that's so sad about Louie grieving.
That's great you got a puppy from the same breeder, though. He's adorbs! How does Louie like the puppy? Love the pics as always!

I'm so very sorry to hear about Blackjack. He has had a great life with you!

My boo is getting old. His face is so white and he looks like such an old man. He's 11.5 now so I know I don't have a ton of time left with him.
