I broke my hand last year and was out of the gym for a few months because of it. I got really antsy and depressed (not in a ****gy time way, more like angry that I couldn't lift) being out of the gym for so long. Getting back into shape felt good though.

Fractured my leg running many years ago and had to hobble around on crutches for nearly 3 months. I went to the gym and did my upper body using crutches but couldn't do legs obviously. I had to start from scratch doing wall squats to build strength but less than 1 year after I busted my leg, I was squatting 3+ plates for reps stronger than before. My leg was so horrifically atrophied because of being in a cast for a long time it was laughable. Muscle memory is a hell of a thing. Still to this day my left leg is slightly smaller but what are you gonna do. Fukin way she goes.
All this to say, don't lose hope, OP. You'll get there. Recovery is a long process you really don't want to rush cuz then that's when you can do the real damage. I knew an overzealous guy who fractured his foot, was stubborn, didn't listen to his doctor's advice, and went to play soccer a few weeks after and he fuked it over forever.

Been there OP I feel you. Broke mine during a fun soccer game back in July. Still recovering because got a thrombosis from it as well. Take your prophylaxis in moderate doses brah srs I took 3000iE and it wasn’t enough
Also take your time on recovery and I you have the money hire some personal physical therapist srs
That makes a world difference
But consider being out of the gym for at least 3 months to prevent possible lifetime damage take it was I know it’s hard but it’s even harder if you wouldn’t be able to train properly for the rest of your life
Get well soon!!!
And try out some good video games/books/enjoying nature/praying to god
