It can be enjoyed and I do watch whatever game I can each season but when it comes down to it, it's a bad sport and we are all cucked by watching it.


1) This has been repeated a million times but fact is fact that out of an average 3-hour game there is only 11 mins of action. This is pathetic.

2) A ton of little rules to patch up the holes in the game's poor overall design. This says a lot. Some commentators don't even know what the fukk happened sometimes.

3) I admire the athleticism of the players but in terms of skill, its really only the QB who does anything impressive. The rest just run and push with an occasional cool looking catch. That's why half of them are just big fat fuks.

4) The biggest cope is the "it's like chess" bullchit. I always lol at the arrows they draw on screen to explain the 'complex' strategy. You could draw arrows in any team sport if you wished. Not like you can see this supposed strategy as the default camera is never zoomed out enough.

5) The cuckening part. The sport is designed from the ground up to maximize ad revenue. Stoppage after stoppage and an ad after an add, literally every few seconds. There is even a rule that the game has to pause for a certain time (the 2 min rule) because it is the most lucrative timeframe for ads (thats literally the reason for this rule, look on wiki). There was a study that said that MOST people tune in to watch the Super Bowl because of the new ads. Just lol.

6) Because of 5, to keep the money machine going, the amount of effort spent to hype up the sport and make it interesting with the constant promos, various showy spectacles, halftime shows, cheerleaders, patriotism chit, etc. This says it all. There is no purity of just the athletes and the fans as in other sports. This is why it's only popular in US, unlike say basketball.


The game is basically like a free kick after a free kick in soccer but without the organic adaptation that comes from a flowing game and without impressive ball handling skills but with a lot of fukkin unnecessary noise.

I'm not at all into watching sports, but Basketball (back in the 90s) is the only one I was ever able to find entertaining at one time - and even that I only watched/followed for like 2-3 years I think.

It's one of those sports I'll have on in the background while I'm doing other stuff. Trust me, you ain't missing much if you don't give it your undivided attention. I'll occasionally look up if I hear the announcers getting loud/excited.

I read that football originally played more like rugby, but teams kept getting cucked by the native americans because the natives were too good, so they added all these rules to slow them down.

I'm not a huge football fan, but can appreciate the ebb/flow of a game, the build up to a goal, the passing/handling/control skills, etc.

Don't see why Americans can't seem to get on board with it.

The opposite. Basketball is fun to play but I love watching football. Football just got a lot better. I’m the 90”s a deep pass wasn’t throw a lot. It is chess and has tons of strategy. Me and my bro used to invent sports in the fields all the time and most were similiar to football. I was really good but thought I had a chance at baseball and never played again. The only thing with football now is the teams are. Dominant black and it’s like alpha aninal in the locker room. It’s annoying hooting and hollering and crap. They use to jump white fits when I was there and not much you could do becayse they had the numbers. Had to agree with whatever bs they were always on. I wanted to get away from thst crap bc they were all dumb as hell but the games were fun. Make a big play and be assaulted by your teammates on the sideline

Ultimately, one player should never really physically touch another player, they should always just be trying to get control the ball.

I wish rugby would somehow take the place of American football, but I know it's not happening in my lifetime. You have to have speed and endurance, and there are less torn ACLs and the like. Football games today have so many more penalties than they used to, making a lot of games almost unwatchable. Someone already described my experience in the rare instances I watch on TV - in the background, I look over at the screen when I see announcers getting excited. If it was a great play, they'll do an instant replay.
