@Audioslave

Zuckerberg on Joe Rogan.
“The FBI, I think basically came to us — some folks on our team and was like, ‘Hey, um, just so you know, like, you should be on high alert. There was the — we thought that there was a lot of Russian propaganda in the 2016 election. We have it on notice that basically there’s about to be some kind of dump of — that’s similar to that.So just be vigilant.’”

“We just kind of thought, Hey look, if the FBI, which, you know, I still view as a legitimate institution in this country, it’s a very professional law enforcement,” Zuckerberg told Rogan. “They come to us and tell us that we need to be on guardabout something. Then I wanna take that seriously.”
-You should be on high alert
-So just be vigilant
-They come to us and tell us that we need to be on guard

But according to Audioslave,

-FBI exerted absolutely no pressure and have absolutely no involvement

It's just government mandated suppression of information on a public platform. How is this illegal? The FBI should be applauded for keeping the public unaware that the FBI colluded with Democrats during multiple elections because that would undermine the public's faith in the process and threaten democracy. If you believe otherwise you're just a Drumph cultist.

The whole thing is legit surreal... I mean we only listened to libs rampage about collusion and election integrity for what, three years?

But they honestly don't see anything wrong with this.

I'm always open to see what comes out of this. Keep in mind, Taibbi is someone you are not going to agree with anyway, as he is the one who said from the original Twitter files"although several sources recalled hearing about a “general” warning from federal law enforcement that summer about possible foreign hacks, there’s no evidence - that I've seen - of any government involvement in the laptop story."But if this could change his mind then perhaps it could change mine as well.

Also, I feel like you've been missing my point. The FBI routinely meets with private sector partners to supply them with some information regarding potential threats to their company and the public. However, under no circumstances, can a company be ordered to doanythingbased on the information supplied to them by the FBI. The FBI cannot request any action from any company based on information supplied to them. Which is why, once again, the only way this could have been suppressed is internally at Twitter, which is what we've seen via the Twitter files, as Taibbi has stated after review. There is a reason no one at ******** or Twitter has said that the FBI pressured the companies to not disseminate the NY Post article.

You're right. They can only have plants inside a company in positions of power and threaten individuals if they don't "do the right thing." Keep it all legal like.

Twitter is filled with left wing higher ups. Just look at Yoel Roth who is an extreme leftist and is in the middle of this. That's why there is no doubt in my mind that they would willingly hire someone like Jim Baker and internally take the initiative to suppress dissemination of NY Post story. I don't think anyone is debating that part. As far as the FBI pressuring them, no one at Twitter or ******** has claimed that and the reporters cited above found the opposite once reviewing the Twitter files. It's perfectly sensible to investigate it, but there will be a hard time proving the FBI pressured them when no one at Twitter or ******** will admit to that. Having said that, if they can prove Jim Baker was in discussions with someone at the FBI who was instructing him to suppress the NY Post article then you have a real story into government collusion.

Poorly worded tweet by Taibbi. No government involvementin the hacking of the laptop. NOT no government involvement in the twitter censorship story.

The burden of proof you're requiring already exists. What you want is a split video of the dude talking to someone on the phone at the FBI with cartoony captions: "Yes, you must delete this tweet about Trump!" "Sure, I will do that, no problem. I am pressing delete now." "Thank you, comrade."

Having an FBI plant in twitter to look for legitimate terrorists and that sort of thing wouldn't be so bad. But of course their primary role is in making sure people on the wrong side of the political/cultural spectrum are silenced.

I don't think that's what he meant. The fact that he said several sources recalled hearing about a "general" warning seems to me he was indicating that no government was involved in the suppression of the story, which is what the entire topic is about. However, if he has clarified that tweet to the other direction I would take a look. But that's not how it reads to me.

Democrats and Republicans (Democrats more so) reach out to Twitter all the time and have had tweets removed simply because they requested it. It's actually pretty common and Twitter usually works with both parties and often deletes or blocks the tweets they request. The question is whether or not the FBI pressured them to suppress the NY Post story. Most people here are saying a vague statement by the FBI on state actors possibly hacking candidates information is enough... I don't think that holds up. And in the Twitter files, even the Twitter employees said it didn't hold up and held no water to suppress the story.

I've seen the tweets from Elon Musk about protecting kids and seen quotes like yours of "kiddy porn running rampant" on twitter, but since I'm not a twitter user is that stuff just out in the open over there? If so how the fuk can that happen?

I almost never follow a twitter link when I see people post them, usually I just hope people post the screen shots so I don't actually have to go to twitter so I'm no expert. With all the Elon Musk stuff going on every day I am tempted to start spending time on twitter if nothing else just to read what he posts.

Overall, terribly worded tweet by Taibbi.
If that's true he should clear that statement up because what he wrote regarding the "general" warning sets it up for readers to believe it was related to the suppression of the story.

Also... I had a legitimate question as I read through the internal conversations at Twitter and no one seems to have any thoughts. It seemed like they err on the side of caution and used their policy of hacked materials as a precaution to suppress it... but they claimed they didn't know if the laptop was hacked or not, and some seem to think it didn't matter anyway and they should just allow dissemination. But if they didn't know, and they had such a good relationship with the FBI, why didn't they just ask the FBI? If you read the conversations it seems like Yoel Roth kind of just vetoed everyone's dissenting opinion and just made the final determination on his own. But if he really wanted to know whether or not it violated their rules, why didn't he just ask? The amount of due diligence that was done on the part of the Twitter employees on this was almost zero.

Even if you look at the conversations with Jim Baker he acknowledged that the computer could have been abandoned and the owner may have consented to allow the repair shop to access it. Even he didn't immediately shoot down the idea as it being hacked information and therefore shouldn't be disseminated on Twitter. Having said that, most people like Jim Baker acknowledged that some of the materialscouldhave been hacked and that a caution could be warranted. But what people are forgetting is that there wasn't so much of a caution (which would have made sense until they gathered more information) as there was a complete and severe block of the NY Post article being disseminated. I'm not 100% sure who that came down from but I thought it was from Yoel Roth. But either way, that is the person who made the determination to make sure the article didn't get disseminated on their platform and is the one with the most responsibility.

Hmmm. Not sure. Could be? Maybe just rushed when putting the tweets together, they were running over an 1.5 hours late Friday night when they were delivering the news.

2 good threads by Greenwald explaining more:

Greenwald makes his case by saying that Taibbi's later tweet says they never found evidence of foreign hacking to justify the violation of the Hacked Materials Policy. This confirms he was talking about foreign hacking in that tweet # 22.

But if they didn't know, and they had such a good relationship with the FBI, why didn't they just ask the FBI?If you read the conversations it seems like Yoel Roth kind of just vetoed everyone's dissenting opinion and just made the final determination on his own.

Regarding the vague tweet # 22, see my previous post in response to ImpressiveGainz.

Yeah the FBI is full of shіt dude. I was just reading an NBC story yesterday from October 19, 2020. The FBI said they were still in the process of determining whether the laptop had been hacked by foreign actors during that time. You gotta remember that they had the laptop in their possession since 2019, directly from the Delaware laptop shop. They weren't trying to help put this "Russian disinformation" narrative to bed -they were the ones that made it up.
A Democratic Congressional official familiar with the matter told NBC News the FBI was actively examining that question, confirming what two other people familiar with the matter said Friday night — that federal investigators are trying to determine whether the materials allegedly found on the laptop were the fruits of a foreign intelligence operation designed to interfere in the presidential election.

I almost never follow a twitter link when I see people post them, usually I just hope people post the screen shots so I don't actually have to go to twitter so I'm no expert. With all the Elon Musk stuff going on every day I am tempted to start spending time on twitter if nothing else just to read what he posts.
Instagram and Twitter have a lot of paedophiles.
