I don't care how you try to word it, they weren't our allies what so ever. Just united in defeating the Axis powers. GB, US, France (those who didn't surrender) and a host of other countries actually fought side by side. There was none of that with the Soviets. There were some brief photo ops where Allied and Soviet soldiers shook hands but there was almost immediate opposition. Look at the Berlin Airlift not even 2 years later. Lots of argument over who controlled what. Wouldn't call those allies. What really sucked is how we had the Nuke shortly after and we allowed the USSR to continue to exist.

Whatever that is..even few asteroids dropping on planet Earth or a few major disasters can create such scenarios.

But watching everything get destroyed by people themselves through people made nukes only to restart Earth model is not worth it.

It’s not how I word it you dense fk, they were quite literally allies from 41 to 45 and there were two fronts to that war in Europe. The United States quite literally sent arms and materials to the USSR to help repel Barbarossa and after, as part of the lend-lease. Intel was exchanged regularly. That’s an alliance. They were historically part of “The Allies”. These nations were allied together.

You’re the retard trying to redefine it and recontextualize it to some standard whereby to qualify as an “ally” you must also share political aims. This was a war, not a normal circumstance. And besides, they did all share the political aim to defeat Nazi Germany.

Had the nuke not been developed in time, the Russians would have invaded Japan. Had the German invasion of the USSR failed earlier, the Russians would have continued to push further into Germany and aid in the a western front.

That was the nature of the relationship. All of the Allies recognized the danger of the Reich and needed to quash it, and a part of those reasons were absolutely about self interest. But that doesn’t mean that they weren’t allies in the context of a fkn war.

A fragile alliance built on a common enemy is still an alliance, and they’re still your ally you strange weirdo. An ally isn’t necessarily a friend. See anarchists and communists fighting alongside Azov in Ukraine right now as an example.

Dumb af srs

You are stupid srs
