Let's say technology gets to the point where you could transfer your consciousness into a virtual world. Your organs are destroyed due to getting sodomized by Bill Clinton. Would you live out the rest of your life in a virtual world or die?

I'm not sure. I think it'd depend on my autonomy in the virtual world, and what happens with my memories, as well as whether from inside that world I could choose to end it too.

If you believe in past lives ( lots of examples with kids who know stuff they shouldn't) then we return several times in different forms to learn.

To me no… if my consciousness was transferred to AI, another body or even a clone of myself. It’s no longer me, just a copy of me

Same can be said for western countries, if all the Germans in Germany are replace by Turks is it still germany? I’d say no
Germany is it culture, traditions and people, not lines on a map

Yeah, there is that, but there is also the serious arguments agains the categorical possibility of AI and information processing views of intelligence which the trans humanists have not dealt with, which my first post was about.

A perfect copy of something is still that thing. Human memories are stored as neuron connections, as physical connections, so being able to backup your brain is theoretically possible. Also, your body replaces millions of cells everyday. Every 10 years or so you basically have a new body.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

As in your brain is wired up to a device that simulates inputs/outputs so that to you brain it feels like you are just living in another world? Of course people with brain issues that won't work. OR like starwars where someone's brain is basically scanned onto a computer so their likeness is run through some kind of AI, but it's really not them exactly.
