Is working from home that bad? (I got 2 job offers)

One is "hybrid", so 50/50 home/office. The other is all at home, but it's a job working at a bank so the pay isn't too bad.

I'm gonna miss having colleagues tho. Thoughts?

When Clown Planet started, I was very thrilled to be working from home... yes you don't get to see your colleagues (just by Zoom or whatever app you use) but honestly, I love the freedom of working from home... I get to stay in PJ's or sweats and I don't work as hard

Did it for a couple years.

Its ok but if you need some assistance its tough to get a reply in a quick manner so if you are doing something that has a time crunch it adds stress.

On the bright side, you can wear what you want and get drunk all day.

Love it. My work is all remote anyway so it was stupid to report to an office, close my door and not talk to anyone in person.

Have one or two days in the office each week, the rest is WFH.

Last week on WFH days:

- on one day I logged in and attended a meeting on Skype from 9-10, then went back to bed and napped until just after midday, got up and watched NBA and then browsed on my personal PC until I logged off at the end of the work day.
- on another day I logged in, did a few emails for not even an hour, browsed on my personal PC and then day drunk whilst watching three NBA games

WFH is goat if you can play it right.

I prefer going into the office.

I've worked from home, made my house feel like a workplace instead of somewhere to relax and unwind.
I'm also very close with a few colleagues so I enjoy the social aspect of being in the office.

Fully remote is for people who have given up on life and embraced mediocrity. Nothing wrong with that, but its 100% true.

No one started an influential company being fully remote never meeting coworkers.

No one runs a huge organization as a top level leader never coming into an office.

As long as you are ok with where you are and fine with being average then wfh 100%.

The influential leaders, founders, and people who control things are not fully remote.

lol my CEO and all underneath him are completely WFH. Don't listen to this guy

WFH is goat is you do it right. i wake up go to the gym, take my time making breakfast enjoying my morning catch ups on all news etc then log on. I have time to go for a walk in the afternoon, go to appointments if needs be and do my shopping all on work time. So long as you dont have overbearing management tracking your every move then you're fine.

All in all I'd say i do around 3-4 hours accumulative work rather than sitting around in an office acting like im working for the full 8 hours. I also just recieved a promotion so the proof is in the pudding - if you're performing well then it will pay off.

then your CEO has given up too and your company is pretty average/mediocre.

I talk on the phone to CEOs all day. Not a single one is fully remote (these are fortune 500 and larger private companies with over 1bn revenue usually).

do they come into the office everyday (no, they are usually traveling and meeting people all day). But a legit c suite member who just rots in his home office all day....no way (for a legit company). what is your company's annual revenue and EBITDA? (ill wait)
