If you don't appreciate the acting in the first then you're an autist and should stop watching movies. But I agree that I have no idea why they need a sequel except as a cash grab.

No brah, it's been described as one. But again, I think there will be songs and those will be the very warped view of reality from Harley Quinn's perspective of whatever is happening.
According to Variety, one insider has compared the Joker sequel to Lady Gaga's recent foray into film, A Star Is Born.

The source suggests the musical performances will be more akin to that film rather than In the Heights, which was much more aligned to the stereotypical musical genre.

I would have been down if they gave him some proper development to make him a threat and then we got to see him go against Batman from his own perspective (Bats being more of an urban legend criminals fear while Joker starts to develop his obsession with him).
