Good Thread on Summary of Maxine Waters' Financial Committee Hearing today:

- John Ray has said they have accounted for a $7 billion loss so far

- "The family (Sam's) received payments from Sam/FTX."

- "The loans that were given to Mr. Bankman-Fried were multiple. There's no description of what the loans were for. In one instance he signed as both the issuer of the loan and the recipient of the loan."

- "They used **********! A multibillion dollar company using **********! Nothing against ********** but not for a billion dollar company."

- "We're dealing with a paperless company. It's clearly unprecedented, the lack of recordkeeping. The way they set this up."

- "I've never seen an utter lack of recordkeeping, ever."

- "This is plain old embezzlement. OLD SCHOOL."

- "The company is virtually void of any internal controls or documentations, resolutions are absent, authorizations approving massive loans to insiders have no approval. When Sam Bankman-Fried signs his own loan to himself, that should tell you a lot."

I think this kid is shady and was fking around, but is it strange I actually believe him more following his (what would have been) testimony?

I feel like alllll the rich scum who get caught out keep their mouths shut the entire time. Mainly because the more you reveal the easier it is to poke holes in it. He was pretty liberal when what he was willing to reveal. Although his personal stuff at the end sounds like horse **** and none of that can be verified.

Him going into that prison is a bad thing imo, they are just going to Epstein him now and will have a free cover story.

I think he's completely full of shіt. I read the testimony and he left a lot of stuff out. You gotta remember that this is a kid who took out a $1 billion from his own company. Paid his parents, and used company funds to buy his parents a $16m vacation home.

He also spent somewhere between $300m-$500m on Bahamian luxury real estate, loaned the guy from The Block (crypto news site) $55m, including $16m for his own house too.

He spent recklessly donating to politicians and media, bailing out failed companies, reinvesting $500m+ in the same VCs who just invested in him, etc. Couple that with no corporate controls and willfully leaving no paper trails -it's just reckless and shady.

And in the testimony, while he says "Yeah I fuсked up, it's my fault," he then also goes off and blames everyone else too, Like CZ Binance, His in-house counsel Rhyne Miller, Sullivan and Cromwell, the new CEO John Ray, etc.

You also gotta remember that he spent the past month doing a media blitz, reading off a script trying to rehabilitate his reputation.

Aye I feel ya, I'm not saying he's innocent or anything, but I feel like he's going to end up getting the entire thing pinned on him when he was (at least to some degree) an ignorant cog while his puppet masters run free. If he gets suicided in prison then I 100% believe this is the case.

I think his parents were a lot more involved than they are leading on - and some speculate they were the true puppet masters. The dad was on payroll for 11 months and helped construct the narrative that "my son earns all this money so he can give it all away." Like that's complete bullshіt. It was always a self-serving endeavor for his family. He even donated millions to his brother's company.

The tip-off to how completely shady they were was the fact that SBF set all his comms to auto-delete after a short period of time, and encouraged all his employees to do the same. Who runs a multi-billion dollar company and willfully leaves no comms trail?

1) SDNY is asking political campaigns to return any stolen money given by SBF or anyone from FTX. (We'll see how that goes)

2) People are saying it is NOT uncommon for people to commit suicide in the Bahamian prison he is staying in. (Convenient)

3) "Anyone at FTX or Alameda Research, come see us before we come to see you" - SDNY on others involved with Sam Bankman-Fried

4) Pics of Bahamian prison:

CFTC Charges Sam Bankman-Fried, FTX Trading and Alameda with Fraud and Material Misrepresentations
Washington, D.C. — The Commodity Futures Trading Commission today announced the filing of a complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York against Samuel Bankman-Fried, FTX Trading Ltd. d/b/a FTX.com (FTX), and Alameda Research LLC (Alameda). The complaint charges all three defendants with fraud and material misrepresentations in connection with the sale of digital commodities in interstate commerce. Further, the complaint asserts that defendants’ actions caused the loss of over $8 billion in FTX customer deposits.

Spoiler!
From one of the articles in the image search:
“We are still using buckets for the bathroom,” the inmate continued. “A few weeks ago, I kept fainting in my cell because I couldn’t breathe. Each time, they would take me to the prison doctor but he’d just give me some painkillers and send me back to my cell. I tried to tell him ‘look I can’t breathe in here’, but they don’t care about you.

“They won’t let ya’ll know but the prisoners on maximum went on strike too. We refused to eat for a few days. It was the guards that told us to do it; they said we had to do something to protest the conditions. The only thing I got out of it was a fan for my area.”

In 2010, composting toilets were installed in an attempt to move away from the unsanitary practice of removing human waste by bucket, or “slopping”. However, this initiative was unsuccessful.

In 2013, Prison Officers Association president Gregory Archer said that the growing amount of faecal matter that had accumulated on the ground in the maximum security section had reached almost ankle height, causing great concern for the health of inmates and staff at the facility.
