where would russia's nukes land in the US??

would they fire off a bunch of them to hit basically every state in the country or would they just aim all their firepower at ****ggy states like california

first volley of nukes will focus on our nuclear launch sites (which they have had mapped out for decades). these are mostly in places like north dakota and Missouri (Srs).

the goal in a nuclear war is to completely take out their counterstrike ability. if all their nuclear launch sites are taken out, then you can "win" the war.

nuke subs complicate this as they can hold 40 nuclear warheads each and are impossible to find. however, initial nuke volleys will target nuke sub bases in bremerton wa and other locations

then they likely throw a couple at NYC, DC, Chicago, LA etc.

Not sure because I'm not sure what strategy would be employed. Its simply impossible to stop all retaliatory nukes. The nuclear subs will definitely launch their shots and we have a lot of them. However, their missiles are not as fast as an icbm but they're likely much closer. I wonder if they can be shot down...

It all hinges on the aggressor's strategy for mitigating the nuclear subs. Since russia never has any strategy, ever, its safe to say they'd just lob chit over.
