Fuking lost in life
27 years old still working a dead-end retail job. I still live with family, have no skills, and no idea wtf career to even pursue.
I went to college for art for a semester and then dropped out when the pandemic started. Drawing is really the closest thing to a passion I've ever had, so I have no idea what career path to pursue. Was thinking about web development or something, but I don't even know about that.
Tired of being a broke loser. Just looking for some advice or some chit idk.

Every day's a new day brah you never know what's gonna happen, just pick something and start hammering at it
Don't compare yourself to people unless it's for motivation, most people just look like they have their chit together and a nice % of those probably think about roping themselves once a week

Just thinking of a few ideas which might be helpful brah, since you mention that you like drawing you should commission some of your art online, why not stream or make YouTube videos of you drawing... people like that aesthetic and relaxing ****, think of Bob Ross but less cool

Some options:
-go back to school and take it very seriously, aim to really master of whatever you're studying
-trade school
-make a "padded" resume with some lies sprinkled in, make sure it looks professional, and spam apply for better jobs (unethical, but many won't check your references and/or you can use friends as references)
-since you like to draw, try to get in with an art crowd and go full hipster (meaning get a social circle which could lead to opportunities for you)
-quit job and just start walking with no destination in mind (full forrest gump), become a hobo

i honestly do recommend a trade. union apprenticeship if possible
but at least you won't have debt to pay off. you can still go to school after. but you'll be looking at pluses for a while instead of minuses
and you'll most likely have skills that can get you a job anywhere. serious
some unions are international organizations that allow you to easily move between locals

Bro I was in the same boat as you a few years ago. I spent the last 25k I had and put in all into starting a small business.
Changed my life. Just make sure you have savings to take advantage of any opportunities. Keep your mind open, srs.
Trades are a great option as well. If you are a smart guy you can scale that into owning your own business someday.

Opie you need to sit down and really decide what kind of path you want in life(maybe not something your passionate about like art) but something that's financially stable
Then search the relevant courses that you can enlist in that help you to prosper and eventually it will be your career long-term and you'll be able to finance a family & chit srs

I’d strongly consider a union trade job based on what I’ve seen my brother quickly achieve in that world. Stash money away while maybe also working on graphic design skills with a possible aim to transition to that later.

Echo what others said. Become tradie. Learn to code. Or even become a truck driver. You’ll be ok brah, just set a realistic plan and go for it.
