I hope a person's right to choose the car they want to drive doesn't hurt anyone's tender feelings, oh, wait. Would love to see what the person looks like, if SF was my city, my comment would be maybe they're public image is a bit too gay for our city and hope it doesn't hurt their tender feelings.

Most of the ph aggots comments commenting in here aren't even southern so I'll weigh in. I do think there are a lot of vehicles that are too big. It's not just trucks but trucks are part of the problem. But also plenty of SUVs that are seriously too big. They don't fit in parking spots properly and they barely fit lanes on the road. Can't tell you how many times I've gone into a parking garage and some jackass has his vehicle hanging halfway out into the driving space because he can't get it into the parking space properly. The reality is these vehicles cause problems and it's not up for debate.

There's plenty of vehicles, trucks and SUVs alike, that fit into these spaces and can haul things just fine, so don't even bother using that as an example. Most of these people have the excessively bigger vehicle as an ego lift anyway and are complete ph aggots in my experience.

This stuff should be better regulated and manufacturers should have to comply better.

Somewhat this. That F-150 hasn’t seen a day of labor in its life. Plus it has a 6’ bed. Same size as a Tacoma, Frontier, or Ranger. Those little dudes can pull 7500lbs too. Very few trucks are used for anything truck related. Nobody offroads them, utilizes those big payload capacities, or even tows near the limits.

Most Americans could get away with something like a Maverick. It does just a good of a job at carrying air as their giant full sized trucks.

protip 7500 is MAX towing for the ranger, but you don't want to be anywhere near the max rating on any truck for any kind of regular use, or if you have to traverse any kind of gradient. bet you that little fgt engine in the ranger is just screaming to pull 7500lb up a 6% grade and can probably only muster 45mph in that condition

I get it, but 99.99% of Americans will never tow that much. If you regularly tow over 7k lbs of course get a full F150 or SuperDuty.

No reason every cookie cutter suburb home needs a 5k lb 250” monster in the driveway to drive little Dakota to soccer practice.

I dint really care what people buy though, just saying most never come close to utilizing their full size truck. I’m on a list for a Bronco and will rarely off-road it, so I’m part of that demographic lol

but you can say that about any car that isn't a corolla. most people with 500+hp sports cars don't go to the track. its just nice to have the extra power, capability and cargo room even if you could get by with a '99 Toyota previa. the durability of those monsters is second to none and will accept the abuse of Dakotas mom checking curbs all day long much better than a minivan

I love living in SF because every once in a while I get to argue with retards like this guy. I blocked someone's driveway with my work van or the other day for 2 min (not my favorite thing to do but never seen them come or go when I'm there and my only alternative is to double park and block traffic). Literally as I'm crossing the street to get back in my van his garage door opened and he immediately began honking his horn. I waved sorry as I got in and pulled away but he didn't care. He was held up for a total of 5 seconds and just as I'm about to pull away I hear him yell out his window "that's MYYYYY spaaaaaaaaaaaace" in the most whiny cuck voice you couldn't even imagine. I lmaod pretty hard. Planning on blocking his driveway daily now just for future lols.

Is there any legit logistical reason in that city or is just random liberal bullchit? For example in most Dutch cities/towns those trucks would barely fit on the road so naturally you barely ever see them. I remember in my old neighbourhood this one dude had a classic American car and he literally parked it at the entrance of the entire neighbourhood and walked the rest of the way home cuz he wouldn't be able to drive it any further. And those trucks are way bigger.

As someone who lives in SF and is conservative, I don’t really see this as that stupid. No one who lives in the city actually needs a truck like that for practical reasons. No one in this city is actually lugging around heavy objects in their car unless it’s construction workers.

As you can see in this photo, on a lot of San Francisco’s steep streets the street parking can’t be parallel as there’s risk of the cars emergency break failing while it’s parked. Therefore, when you have a car that long parked in spots like that, they stick out way into the driving lane which is dangerous.

I personally don’t care much about it other than it’s already hard to find parking spots around the city so the more smaller cars the more likely there will be spots available. With that said, I don’t think this is a “we hate conservatives thing”

BTW, that's 11 1/2 feet of depth from the inside of the hatch to the dashboard if you don't have good eyes

ROTFLMFAO, literally Easy AF for 99% of Plywood and 2x4s in a Prius.
For that 1% a Toyota Sienna Hybrid will fit them after removing all seats except the driver's seat.
