Some close-in pics of the Chinese J-20 Stealth Aircraft

I'm thinking maybe sending $50 qaudtrillion a year to the Communist Party of China

for some cheap Made in China goods at Walmart

for 50 years now since the early 70's

was maybe not such a good idea after all

The Communist Party of China was dirt poor and in bad shape when Henry Kissinger ended the embargo against the CCP in the early 70's

The CCP would have failed and ended sometime around the late 80's when the USSR also ended had we maintained the embargo against them

China would be a free and normalized country now and not the massive communist party enslavement camp it is today

Technology is irrelevant if you can't produce it in large numbers. Russia has Su-57 Stealth Fighter/Bombers but they have small numbers. China is making stealth fighters at A WORLD RECORD PACE and will dwarf the number of 5th generation Aircraft the US has is NO TIME. China's NAVAL Carrier Based Stealth Fighter Bombers will be in production in no time as well and then they will ramp up production of those to WORLD RECORD PACE as well. China has actually finally perfected domestic engine production as well and is pretty much 100% independent of Russia as well now.

That. Basically we're screwed unless we go full stop hardcore balls to the wall production, while cutting off all trade and contact with China ... which no one is talking about doing

Love those exposed rivets. AWACS will have no issue picking that cheap Chinese knockoff up on radar and turning the fight into a turkey shoot.

Yeah, but AWACS are obsolete against Modern Air Defense Systems because they can easily be shot down at a distance of 250 miles by an S-400 and 400 miles by an S-500. America's Best Awacs can only see something like an Airbus A380 at a distance of about 250 miles and they'd have to be within only dozens of miles to even see a J20.

AWACS can see much farther than you think or what is published. SEAD operations will knock out S-400 and S-500, rendering that argument obsolete.

This is why modern air defense systems use integrated multi layered air defense systems with multiple different types of radars(UHF, VHF Radars, surveillance radars, low frequency, high frequency acquisition heat seeking radars, at each location with brute force supercomputing to easily get a weapons grade lock at very long distances to shoot down F-22s, B2s, and F35 very easily. Invaluable information during the Syrian War with testing different types of radars allowed China and Russia to be able to easily shoot down any NATO aircraft. China's latest generation heat seeking radars can shoot down F-22s at a range of 300 km(186 miles) by themselves without multiple different types of radars and brute force supercomputing.

The United States' trilateral diplomacy with China in the 1970s was crucial for protecting the US against the Soviet Union and giving the US an advantage. The trilateral diplomacy allowed the US to economically and militarily cooperate with China and provided a geopolitical buffer between the US and the USSR (Gaddis, 1997). This cooperation gave the US the ability to gain access to Chinese resources and to use Chinese military forces against the USSR if necessary, granting the US greater leverage in negotiations and war. Additionally, the trilateral diplomacy allowed the US to gain a better understanding of Chinese foreign policy and to develop a stronger relationship with China. This gave the US an advantage in global relations, allowing it to use its newfound understanding of Chinese foreign policy to its own advantage and to make strategic decisions about how to counter the USSR's aggression.

Had the US not engaged in trilateral diplomacy with China in the 1970s, the consequences could have been far-reaching. The Soviet Union could have developed a strong relationship with China that would have allowed them to gain access to Chinese resources and leverage in their negotiations with the US. This could have resulted in a situation in which the US was at a strategic disadvantage, with the Soviet Union gaining access to Chinese military forces and resources and the US unable to respond. In addition, the US would have lacked a buffer between itself and the Soviet Union, leaving it vulnerable to Soviet aggression.

Overall, the US' trilateral diplomacy with China in the 1970s was essential for protecting the US against the Soviet Union and granting the US an advantage. Without this diplomacy, the US would have been at a strategic disadvantage, with the Soviet Union gaining access to Chinese resources and military forces and the US unable to respond.

It was the best of worst decisions we were faced with.
The illegal we do immediately. The unconstitutional takes a little longer.

Now posting posthumous.

truly crazy that the US alone was responsible for Chinas rise. Never shoulda given an unfriendly country so much money trade. Not only that but eventually they will spread their culture all over the world to the most prosperous cities like dallas, vancouver, etc.

I'm willing to bet Lockheed and other contractors have some **** that is unfathomable to us atm. Something that almost perfectly counters what the enemy thinks they have the advantage in.

Skunk Works is a great read about the secret aircraft engineering operation going on at Lockheed. Boeing and Northrup have since attempted to adopt this model.

This.

It's almost a perfect facsimile of the aircraft that was in direct competition for the contract that was awarded to the F22.

You can thank Pres Clinton for that one.

Typically, atleast firearms, chinas quality is top notch

I just feel it is becoming more and more likely that we are going to have to phuck around and find out if they are legit

You're an idiot and I'll explain why.

There are 400ish million americans and 1.5ish billion chinese - each one of those 1.5 billion chinese are living, breathing, eating, thinking, sh*tting, feeling, human beings, just like the 400 million americans.

If you don't agree, you are going to be deemed an idiot from now on.

It's got canards

edit: Is there any video displaying China's or Russia's "stealth" fighter launching weapons from internal bays? I mean other than the really good CGI from Top Gun; Mavrick

edit 2: If you guys don't think AWACs can pick up exposed rivets, when I use to fly on USCG C130s, my radar operator (some of them) can pick up flying fishes jumping out of the water from 10+ miles away. We didn't have the latest greatest radars lol
