Any misc software engineers on here?

It used to be a popular career field on here. Any insights into the job market right now? Is it a bad time to try and break in with an entry level job?

ITT morons that think the word "engineering" can only be used to describe their career (bricklaying)

There's no difference between someone who designs a bridge and someone who designs e.g. youtube's server architecture or a video gams's physics engine or machine learning, except that one deals with real world objects while the other one deals with silicon. Fuking tradies srs just negged all of u

Doesnt matter what i am ****get the point is you are stupid and dont understand the concept of engineering, you're probably in some low iq manual labor field yet here you are talking chit about people with math and physics phds because they dont lay bricks like you. No one claims wordpress "developers" are engineers, software engineering is a legitimately correct term for many software related jobs

I hope you aren’t throwing shade on the Gender Engineers
Entire NYPD should go on strike. You'll see then how quickly the mayor changes his tone.

Agree with FinTech. It is exploding and it's still in its infancy. Not for me though. I'm trying to break into the cloud computing space. I have my Azure exam scheduled for next month.
