My dopamine is tied to being a functioning member of society that provides, and isn't tied to vidya for 8+ hours per day. This results in poosy, money for hobbies and eating out, and not suffering from depression.

If I have more than a week off I am probably suffering from depression. Same thing if I stop lifting. WFH two days a week so commute is lessened. Have fun sitting around chit posting today m8.

You are ignoring the risk involved with self employment, as well as the work. You will be waking earlier and working harder longer hours to build a successful business than you will working for someone else with guaranteed pay and benefits. It's not a clear choice, there are positives and negatives of each, and depending on your sector and set of skills there is a lot of variations between individuals.

Acting as if self employment is the clear best option for every individual just shows an extreme ignorance.

I used to be a wagie and now I'm self employed.

The main difference is that now, when it (rarely) gets very hard, I sometimes wish I was still a wagie. When I was a wagie I'd wish I was self-employed every single day.

Wait until the IRS get their numbers up and audits small businesses all over the country en masse (Probably using PPP loans as an excuse). Then uses that data to determine how to best tax and regulate them using the climate change narrative.

The vast majority of people dont own small businesses and will gladly vote for the types of regulations that will destroy that lifestyle. The worst thing to be under a socialist govnt is a small business owner.

But being a wage slave sucks pretty bad too.
