Yeah I mean at least Judge set the single season HR record.

Correa is 28 years old with a bad back. He's been average his whole career. Nothing in his stat sheet pops out. How the **** did get get $350 million?

I still think the Braves missed out on Haniger. He got a reasonable deal and we were too cheap to fill a clear need in the outfield to bring him in
At this rate I'm hoping the Yankees sign Rodon and explore the trade market to get some hitting. Forget about Swanson.

Hell Tatis Jr 14 year $340 million contract is looking like a bargain now.

It's crazy to think that if these guys invest their money properly they could very realistically reach the billionaires club in their lifetime.

Imagine Carlos Correa a billionaire. WTF?

Yankees would be smart not to give in and start extending out beyond 4 or 5 years to Rodon. I think they can wait him out because I'd be surprised if the Cardinals or Twins gave him 7 years either.

Word on the street is Dansby is signing with the Cubs

Not sure on the details and nothing official yet but don’t be shocked to see an announcement soon.

Also how did Mallory Pugh land Dansby Swanson? No homo. Swanson is a legit chad

Rodon to the Yankees

6 year $162 million. Not bad compared to the other contracts given out this off season.

Still some work to be done with the lineup.

Ehhh.. 1 year longer than I would probably like but yeah not awful especially considering the way other contracts have gone this offseason. I'd be reasonably happy if I was an NYY fan with it.

The thing I like most about the signing is he wanted to go to the Yankees. At least that's what the reports say. I think with his attitude/mentality he'll succeed in NY. Which is always a worry with new players coming to NY.

I want to point out this is still my favorite picture of all time.

Another offseason for Braves fans where I guess that's that lol

given how quiet it's been on swanson, im surprised nothing has come together with the braves. they must really like grissom. not sure grissom is a good enough fielder to play ss though. he did play SS mostly in minors.

That's because he's going to the Yankees. Yankees then going to trade Gleybor/Peraza for a LF. Yankees lineup ain't looking too hot right now. They need some more pieces.

Hal promised Judge if he signed with the Yankees they'd still have money to spend to improve the team. Rodon was a nice start but isn't enough.

And Terry McGuirk promised the fans he wanted to be a top 5 payroll team.

We're now projected to finish 7th and sliding fast

I imagine SFD, LAD, and BOS at minimum will jump us before it's all over with.

Not gonna lie, Ian Happ would be a great fit for the Yankees. Cashman make it happen.

No need to trade for him, just wait till he hits free agency and the cubs will let him walk without an offer. Jed Hoyer calls this “intelligent spending.”

Not wise if NYY wants him. The Padres will surely offer him a 10 year, 275 million contract next offseason

7 years $177 Million. Not bad, I wouldn't be upset if the Yankees pulled that deal off.

7/$177? I can dig that.

Not sure if Swanson is significantly better than Nico Hoerner but it’s always better to have more good players than less.

I've liked Dansby the last few years.....one of those guys that doesn't come out blazing hot like Acuna/Harper/Tatis...just takes hims a few years to "get it". I think he gets it now...he's legit. Would have liked him as the Yankee SS but no way they're going there with those years and 2 SS prospects awaiting. I swear to god Volpe better be the next Honus Wagner the way they're treating this SS situation.

I like:
Cole
Rodon
Nestor
Sevy
Montas/German

and our bullpen needs a few more small pieces....definitely closed the gap with Houston, but I dunno if we're better. A legit contact guy to play LF, not a power hitter with 200 K's. Benny would have been perfect, damn. Not a big Happ guy, even less of a Kepler guy. One guy i've always liked is Corey Dickerson, but he's probably not the guy.

Baseball divisions are so ****ed. Happy to see what the more balanced schedule does.

But NL East is stacked with 3 teams that would run away with the NL Central. Cards in NL central coast to playoffs every year. Padres and Dodgers give the giants no chance even though they'd have a good chance to win the NL Central too.

AL East has 4 maybe 5 teams that would win the AL Central.

Uhh.. the AL East is trash bro.... or did you just miss the Rays and Jays getting sh*t on in the playoffs this year. Literally the only team worth a damn is the Yankees and they chose to play .500 baseball from mid-June to the end of the year and no one even got close to tracking them down.

The AL in general is trash though. There's seriously only two teams worth watching in that entire league.

Best part of the AL East is the way the Red Sox owners have pivoted and put all their time and energy into their queer soccer team and neglect the Sox completely. It's a beautiful thing to watch.

I think they just know they can't compete right now with the division being so stacked. I bet if they were in the AL Central they'd sign some players and make a run.

On the other hand, if you bring in an ex-rays guy for GM, good chance you had cost-cutting in mind.
