my wifes family lives closer so we usually go there for Christmas day, but my brothers are moving back home next year so we may switch back to my family.

They have pretty plain thanksgiving repeat food. They are also weird and have the meal, then wait like 1 hour before desert. No one else in their extended family does I found out just them and when they host.

Typical home Christmas Dinner for me;

Starter; smoked salmon on brown bread with slice of lemon

Main; turkey OR beef/ roast potatoes and mashed potatoes/3-4 types of fresh veg/Yorkshire puddings or stuffing/gravy/pigs in blankets

Desert; Christmas Pudding with cream with a second desert (like chocolate truffle)



Evening

Bread and biscuits with a range of quality cheese
Cook the man some eggs!
