Do fat kids even get made fun of at school anymore?

I was obese till sophomore year in high school (1998) and finally got into great shape. To say that school was literal hell for me would be an understatement, getting constantly harassed and made fun of for my weight. Now, because obesity is so prevalent among children, is that even something that kids are made fun of anymore now that it has become so normalized? I live in a very Hispanic town/city and like 80% of kids are overweight when I see them in stores or food places.

The odds are you would now be 'normal'.


When I think back to middle or high school and the kids that were considered fat or overweight....there were just a few in a classroom of 30 people.

Now there are few in a class that aren't fat, and the kids that would have been considered 'fat' 20+ years ago are just normal now.

my kid goes to a private school and i've only seen one kid who would be considered overweight...but when out at dinner or shopping, fat kids are everywhere. it's insane.

Unfortunately its pretty unlikely bullying exists IRL anymore.

You already know the gay/tranny kids aren't getting bullied. Much less the fatties.

Got sent to principal like 7 times in 3rd-4th grade cuz buddy and I would follow fat kid around and do the batman do do do do fat dude do do do do fat dude.

I ran by a kid eating a butterfinger full speed, swiped the butterfinger out of his hands and kept running while crushing his butterfinger. Three of his friends tried to chase me down and caught me. My buddy came up behind them slapping them in the head and they started crying. Lol

No way. Acceptance movement means it's cool to be gay, bi, trans, fat, and minority. Pretty sure bullying doesn't really even exist any more. Not the way we think of bullying anyway. I'm sure with how sensitive everyone is that something harmless said gets blown out of proportion into "bullying".
