In the past I’ve made posts here about my weird experiences in my hometown. How it seemed like people were going out of their way to slight me. I summed it up to me being an unimposing black guy (which was somewhat true) but there was also the fact that i didnt play into any of the typical stereotypes which consequently made me a target.
It might be hard to believe but in a small town especially, where 90% of black dudes thugmax, people start to look at you like who tf are you, when you dont. To put it into perspective, imagine being in a small good ol boy Tradie town as a white guy and your style is slightly more hiphop influenced. You wear yeezys instead of cowboy boots. Thats enough to create a divide in how people treat you. Simple braindead **** like this has been my plight of small town living for over 10 years.

So since this past summer after spending most of my 20’s grinding, i finally landed a job with my skillset that pays well. The job was in my hometown with a very well known local firm that’s active in the community so everyone eventually got word that I was on the team. All of a sudden people started treating me differently around town. I didnt go broadcasting my job anywhere. So other than the fact the job was posted on the firms ******** page no one shouldve known…

I walk into an establishment I’ve frequented over the years and the owner who ive only ever said a couple of words to asks me “So where are you working at these days?” Out of the blue a couple weeks after I got the job. Mind you guy doesnt even know my name but he made the effort to come out from the back and ask me this.. This was only more confirmation that a group of haters and gossipers were keeping tabs on me.
In a matter of months these people went from having **** eating grins on their face to frowns of jealously because they saw me go from being practically homeless to working with one of the biggest business in the city! just lol! You cant imagine how satisfying its been to see their foolish gawking blow up in their faces exposing them as absolute losers.

But to get to the point I finally moved from that ****hole last month to a state up north. Near a pretty well known city. This has been the goal since I landed the job since they said I could work remotely almost immediately. And now that I’m here its even more confirmation that some strange **** was going on in my hometown because I have absolutely no problems here whatsoever.
- No one is looking at me like a deer in the headlights in public.
- No one is staring me down like they want to punch or shoot me.
- People are genuinely friendly here something I haven’t experienced in years
- Finally living in a place where random strangers dont come up to me saying they know my relatives
- Women dont ignore me Ive had 3 women in the past month spark up conversations with me and give me choosing signals
- Confidence through the roof and people are responding to it positively

Wouldve made this post earlier but I’ve genuinely just been enjoying this peace of mind. The vibes here are so much different from the south. It feels so freeing to bring in this new year with a completely new slate. In a new place where no one knows me and I can be my true self without it making me social outcast. Also its so gratifying to know that my haters are rotting in that **** hole small town feeling trapped and miserable LMAO!

Ive been a christian my whole life and even more so these past 2 years. The past 2 years ive actually taken my walk seriously, getting close to God and denying my flesh and understanding that true salvation isn’t dependent on my performance.

I truly think God began to bless me after I stopped trying to do it my own way.. the way of the world.


This is one thing Ive always factored into my situation that many detractors on these forums didnt. Ive always known there was a spiritual element to what was happening to me. It wouldnt make any sense any other way.
Ive never been the type to drink or fornicate and these spirits in those that do can tell that about me from a mile away.

Ive had the strangest experiences during times of fasting when I could literally see when a demon spirit was acting up in a person around me. To the point they couldnt keep their composure near me. Like they’re were about to jump out of their skin.

So yes I understand what youre saying and that theres a chance they could show up even where I am now. But sooner or later I had to leave Nazareth

Nope. The first couple of weeks in the new state I still carried that same “I wonder who is watching me” type energy because even I was doubtful if what i was suspicious of was true. But to my surprise no one reacted the way the wouldve in my hometown.. I was treated like a normal person regardless..

That eventually gave me confidence and confirmation of what I was going through was indeed not paranoia..

Even now, I dont act much differently Im just happier. Everyday here is like my once a year good days in that chithole town. I honestly feel like a kid again like im on an adventure. No family, no highschool classmates, no past coworkers trying to chain me down to who they thought i was. Its so freeing actually. Will honestly never try and talk to any of them again srs

Just don’t get too excited. Things aren’t guaranteed to change for you. I always feel my people follow me around and the same stuff will continue to happen to you. It’s great that you did get this job at dennys but things change fast. Just be prepared to be disappointed when I told you so

Maybe but I had way too many experiences that shouldve never happaned, for me not to think this was the case. I remember being at my absolute worst walking miles a day in the hot heat to apply for part time jobs, and people in cars flying by me laughing out the window…

Like explain to me who tf would do that to a complete stranger? Then when i finally got a customer service job I had old classmates come in just to say I was poor and shy in highschool. I had old teachers come in with these **** eating grins on their face almost to say “this is where you belong. Working a dead end job”

Just completely vile, unforgivable chit.. But I forgive them because theyre the ones who are truly suffering.. Youre wasting all this hateful energy on a guy who NEVER thinks about you its insane. Youre just proving you think im better than you regardless of what I do

Try not to frame everything in life as everyone being against you though. While it may be somewhat true it can also turn into a self fulfilling prophecy. People can sense paranoia, and it definitely turns people off. Small slights here and there should just bounce off you, especially when those people have no bearing on your life. Letting them live "rent free" in your head just gives them power over you.

Whenever I stray from The Word and get caught up in this world, my life spirals. Things go wrong at work, start fighting with the wife and family, get sick, everything you could imagine. When my focus turns to Him, it's amazing how life does a 180.
