How can anyone cope with life without drinking srs?

I feel like in order for me to get my true feelings out, I need at least a 12 pack. I know it’s not ideal but it’s the only way to function at the moment. How in the fk can people deal with their problems without drinking dead srs.

I don't drink. Coincidentally, I've thought about it the past week cuz of holidays and something about good whiskey tequila is pretty appealing.

That said, I understand all it does is for most people is what you mentioned. Allow them to be introspective. I have introspective thoughts on a Tuesday afternoon driving my car there is no point in drinking to be conscious of them. I've had people tell me I've said profound things while they are also drinking at bars. I doubt that. More likely people are in some robotic thought process most of the day or even simply repress those thoughts until they can drink.

only one reason to drink...good pussy. thas it. pussy. Only time i will drink if getting laid is on the table. like literally pussy is the on the table and girl is super into me. In the rare instance that happens, I just fork over the credit card and let em order whatever they want and I'll drink with her.

12 to function? There might be an issue there OP, not because you rely on a crutch (everyone does to some extent.) but because it’s a toxic crutch.

Ethanol at even moderate amounts cuts years from your health span ( rising odds of cancers and neurodegenration significantly)

Try more « sustainable crutches » ice baths, sauna, spending time in nature etc natural highs and natural social lubricants

I tend to use therapy techniques to deal with problems and they make me accept them so well that they don't bother me.

Low level example, I made a great ham today and roasted fruits on the ham. I tried some and the fruits were really delicious.

My cat was very curious what I was doing on the counter and jumped up. He then stepped on the plate of cooked fruit and knocked it on the ground.

I did not get angry at all, which my gf did.

That's because as soon as I saw the fruit on the floor, I knew they were not longer fruit, but garbage.

I was not angry at my cat because I realized that he does not understand his actions.

So, I instantly moved on with dinner.

If you can learn to do that with every subject you will not need to abuse substances to deal with problems and be in a good mood all the time.

I always lol at people who think they are high and mighty because they never drink. No one cares, you aren't special. Most normal people have a drink once in a while to relax or enjoy themselves. You are just a mental midget if you can't manage to drink casually without it becoming a problem in your life. Yall have to act like everyone who enjoys drinking is depressed or coping but some of us just enjoy drinking because it's delicious and fun. There isn't always some coping mechanism attached to alcohol.


That being said people like op are equally pathetic. You should not need alcohol to socialize. A 12 pack is alot of beer and is gross. Quick way to destroy your gut health and become obese. Nothing wrong with having a couple while you socialize, but you should also be able to be yourself sober. This is major cope

in italy, wine is considered food.

everyone is coping one way or the other. everything you do or don't do has to be tied to your identity for validation or some chit.

I got yucky tonight at a family gathering but for me alcohol only enhances what already exists. It doesn't create a different version of myself nor hide the type of person I am. I'm exactly the same sober as yucky. I'm just fortunate enough to not need alcohol to be sociable, interactive, and interesting as a person. I'm nowhere near claiming or have any right to claim being holier than thou but when it comes to those who seek support in justifying that life is only worth enjoying or living if alcohol is a center piece of it, then yes, I have every claim to being a better person.

BTW haven't drank in over 3 months and tonight had a glass of Jameson, 2 glasses of wine, and 2 beers and I feel about 2 hours of sleep away from being sober. You're just jelly I'll wake up tomorrow feeling like spring flowers while you'll be cope rotting for 2 days before feeling back to whatever your normal is...assuming you don't drink before that happens.

I don’t want to be a fukking idiot in front of my children.
So I stopped drinking.
Then I learned how to have fun without drinking
Now I don’t miss it and am happy with all the new stuff i do instead

Maybe if my life falls apart I’ll go back to drinking, or if I get crippled or something gay like that. But would rather not waste anymore of my life getting hammered cuz I have no fukking chill when it starts.

I wonder that as well, and I was a teetotaler up until I was 22.

I think that using alcohol to cope with the the stupidity of life/anxiety/to help relax is the hallmark of becoming a man. Up until that point you’re just a dumb ass kid still holding on to idealism.

Don't need alcohol to cope. When I drink all I care about is drinking more and it's not really fun. When I finally have "enough" I usually pass out and wake up feeling like a retard and have a 2 day hangover. Not remotely worth it under most circumstances.
