Can you blame them?

Having another nation fight your battles
Having another nation's men fight and die in place of your own
Making money hand over fist
Having the government pay for it all

It's the ultimate win/win situation, and a if the Ukranians are willing to keep at it, and all we have to do is send them weapons and some money...hell. Small price to pay if someone is going to get their hands dirty for us instead

The german army still has this cross. This really has as much to do with the Nazis as the tank itself because well they used tanks as well. They also drank water and did breath air. Perhaps air and water are nazi too

Russians claim they have shot down the drone. But they also said that three soldiers were killed. Strange. So some falling debries of a drone kill three soldiers?

We had this discussion already, it's senseless. They claim that the cross that is used since prussian times is somehow some specific nazi symbol but the runes and black suns of russian nazi bataillons are totally ok. Vatnik logic, not even once.

Edit: If Azov has runes or black suns it's totally nazi though. Just Rusich and Wagner are allowed to use these symbols and not be nazi.

Putin's year in review:

🔻There are no ideal situations. Ideal situations only happen in plans, on paper. But in general, Russia made it through the year quite confidently.

🔻 Everything that is connected with the special military operation in Ukraine, is an absolutely forced and necessary measure.

🔻 As for the economy, despite the collapses, devastation and catastrophe predicted for us in the economic sphere, nothing like that is happening. Russia is performing much better than many G20 countries.

🔻 Divide and rule – this slogan is still actively used in real politics. This is why our opponents have always been dreaming about this. They have been trying to divide us and then run the separate parts.

🔻 Those who are supplying Patriot missile system to Ukraine, are doing it in vain: it just prolongs the conflict.

🔻Every conflict ends with negotiations on the diplomatic track, one way or another, and we have never refused to negotiate. It is the Ukrainian leadership that has forbidden itself to negotiate. This attitude is somewhat unusual, even bizarre.

🔻 The West is trying to administratively set a price cap on Russian oil and gas. This is the road toward destroying the global energy sector.

🔻 The goal of our geopolitical opponents and adversaries is to reduce the income to the Russian budget, but we are not losing anything because of this cap.

🔻 The Western nations are used to robbing other countries. And an attempt at non-market regulation in the economy is the same colonial robbery, or, in any case, an attempt at colonial robbery

Guess we will see soon enough if this is true.

One does have to wonder. If you do X amount of damage to the power infrastructure in a Country, why would you not do Y and Z to completely knock it out? They are doing rolling power outages all over Ukraine like they just recently did in the SE US for the weather/extreme low temps and people using too much power. So while Russia has inconvenienced Ukrainians, it hasn't changed a single thing military wise. Why not? Do you think the US would do something like that? Or would they blitzkrieg critical infrastructure until its useless?

edit: video shows actual impact of the drone attack at Engels. so much for "friendly fire incident" Russia tried to say happened, lol.

They're using civilian air corridors. It was also mentioned during the 1st attack

---
Air defense cannot fully work when civilian aircraft are flying, — retired Colonel of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation Mikhail Khodarenok.

The peculiarity of the work of air defense on aircraft is that there should be no civil aviation in the sky for their full-fledged work.

Combat aircraft have a "friend-foe" system, but not on civilian ones.

We have restricted flights in the regions bordering Ukraine and where SMO is conducted. As we can see, the enemy has found a way to strike deep into our territory.

Therefore, in order for air defense to work effectively, it is necessary to limit civil aviation flights not only in the border regions, but also further. Moreover, a Ukrainian drone could hit a civilian aircraft in the air.

The situation is very serious,” Khodarenok said on the radio.

Anyone thoughts from those with some military background/knowledge?

Video of an American mercenary talking about the situation at the front

“There are 9 of us here. The Russians are firing artillery. A shell exploded 20 meters from us.”

Not a significant video, but just posting it anyway. Anyone following the invasion knows there are plenty of American mercenaries fighting(not chalupa tho), Polish too, obviously. Among many other groups.

But for anyone who still had any doubts.

https://www.nytimes.com/live/2022/12...a-ukraine-news

While Zelensky was praising the US for another $45bn financial aid package, The New York Times rushed to release details of that aid.

Of the $45 billion in US aid to Ukraine: $4.92 billion in humanitarian aid will go to the US Department of Health to help Ukrainian refugees; $11.88 billion will be used to replace the weapons already transferred to Ukraine in the US arsenals, and $7 billion will go to the US European Forces Command. Another $6 million will go to the Inspector General of the U.S. Department of Defense, who will be required by law to report to Congress on the use of the money. In other words, Ukraine will receive only about 52% of the initial amount.

Brutal

Interesting article from Financial Times (Not a pro-Russian source)

https://www.ft.com/content/b01669cb-...8-8eef0c0c2088

Surovikin, a veteran of the war in Syria, is “probably the most competent commander Russia has put in place”

General Sergey Surovikin has reinforced Russia’s front lines with recruits drawn from the recent draft of approximately 300,000 soldiers. He also engineered a successful withdrawal from around the strategic southern city of Kherson, where Russian forces were in danger of being captured. (re-read this part again, retard crew members)

These stronger defensive positions reduce the chances of a successful Ukrainian winter counter-offensive that cuts the land bridge which runs along the coast of the Sea of Azov and links Russia to Crimea, although a breakthrough is still regarded as possible by western military analysts.

“Ukrainian forces . . . Certainly face their own problems. Their casualties have been high, many are not adequately trained, some units are clearly suffering from extreme fatigue, and they need more weapons and ammunition,” one western defense adviser said.

Ukraine launched a drone attack on an airfield in Russia. There should be a large offensive coming this week, at least that's what I heard.

A big reason zelensky went to front lines last week.

“The Ukrainian authorities would like to hold a “peace summit” at the UN with its Secretary General as a possible mediator by the end of February” -Ukraine FM Dmytro Kuleba

“Every war ends in a diplomatic way,” he said. “Every war ends as a result of the actions taken on the battlefield and at the negotiating table.”

Fuark, Ukrops are finally ready to sit at the negotiation table? Imagine it they went ahead with the peace deal back in April instead of waiting a year later to do it in Feb 2023… Boris Johnson is one of the biggest pieces of trash in the world for interfering and pulling Zelensky away from signing the peace deal with Putin.

Nuke the U.K. (not srs) but Boris is absolute garbage.

Now will Russia want to? LukeCowKillerLissen please contact your super secret sources in the FSB/CIA and let us know what Putin is thinking, thanks cow killer.

Dude are you retarded? Ukraine is in a WAY BETTER POSITION today than they were in February. Boris Johnson didn't change Zelensky's mind, his own people did. He actually listened to the will of his people. Hopefully they end it, hopefully Ukraine controls as much land as possible as well.

It actually isn't impossible. That's what bothers me. And IDK what Putin would do if it came to that, but he has nuclear options. Both the US and Ukraine find it publicly acceptable to call for total Russian withdrawal. And if we keep arming Ukraine and they start winning, Russia will resort to WMD.

The nukes make it impossible Wincel. He would indeed nuke over Crimea. They won't nuke over Donbas. IDK if they will nuke over places like Engels getting hit either. I sincerely hope Ukraine doesn't keep attacking them deep in Russia. I understand why they are doing it, but I don't like it.

Why couldn't the Ukrainians just federalize? It's not like the Russian Ukrainians truly wanted to be Russian. They wanted to be what they always were: Ukrainian but allowed to speak Russian and have their own representstion and autonomy. Why must these nationalists insist on forcing their way upon all in Ukraine?

All Yanukovych bs aside, this is the real cause of all this. It's that nationalists in Ukraine are trying to engineer what it means to be Ukrainian, and in doing so, marginalizing like 1/3 of their own people.
