TFW your entire house, double garage, and large property are your "man cave."
*Look at reflection in car window and flex every time crew*
*Use half the roll to wipe after a poo crew*
*Fart in the gym and blame rotten smell on faulty ventilation crew*
*Fart at home and blame it on the dog crew*
*Watch neutron-star density poop mock me as water flushes around it and it stays put crew*
*Drive 2 minutes in the summer and back of shirt gets completely wet crew*
*Coffee black as midnight on a moonless night crew*
*Fat shame my cat on a daily basis crew*

Sounds like OP's butthurt from having his mancave stretched out.
I have my gym, theatre room, wine-making room, cellar and double garage as my areas of the house. Wife can enter those rooms when vacuuming, with the exception of the garage. The only time she is permitted in my garage, is when she's taking out the garbage.
If you haven't been married for at least a few years, you may not understand the necessity of a mancave. You too, will feel exactly like Al Bundy at some point.

Dunno why I would need a cave
But I have my office
My private poop room
My wrestling room
My gym
The tack room in the barn and the loft / back side of shop are all areas Iโve currently taken over as well but not part of the house I guess.
A cave would be cool tho

In Germany I know folks that build 'huts' (small log cabins) on their properties. You can design it with great acoustics, do an amazing audiophile setup - have a minibar, invite friends over etc.
The point isn't a 'mancave' to LDAR. It's a place designed for special activities say, so you wouldn't want to gigablast your audio across the house at 2am.
*shrug* - they can make sense to me. Winter gardens, too.

Agree, it's pathetic. A man's home is his castle, imagine being so weak you're consigned to the basement or some outbuilding LOL.
There is actually a full size barn on my property which I use extensively but in no way is it some kind of "man cave", I am also fully in control of the main quarters.

Man cave?
No, I have a garage wood shop full of tools where I build and make beautiful things.
Also skin and dry furs, butcher animals, lift weights, store my outdoor gear and organize and plan my next adventures. And there's no TV in it.
Real men had dens or studies before humans became obsessed with pursuing meaningless leisure.
Brb, gonna use my only time on earth to drink beer, watch the game and rot. Fuk outta here.

My missus and me both have our own rooms/office in the house, the TV area was designed by me, i also have a home cinema/gym which was my want but benefits the whole family
our bedroom furnishings were a joint effort and installed by me as was the dining area/room.
the kitchen was a joint effort , the bathroom style was designed by me
we tend to agree on home decorating so its not a big deal

I have an office. And I decorate it to look how I want it to look. Fishing pictures etc. The rest of the house is to look presentable to guests. I don't mind this arrangement at all.

Op are you young? Live in an apartment?
I have many locations in my house that I can consider as my man cave, garage gym, tv room, whiskey space, outdoor patio. Even my huge walk in closet can be considered my man cave. The fact of the matter is this, once you grow up, buy a house, you tend to want to spend a lot of time there where you pay mortgage. What better way than to designate areas to go hang out in, destinations. You can still go to restaurants and bars, then come back home and finish off the night.

I have run of the entire house, but my basement has a full gym and pool table.
Though I'm going to give that to the kids and build a detached building with half court and golf sim in it.
