I can actually see the benefit for a social media platform (tech company) to hire from the CIA and FBI if the skills aligned. However, I would suspect a higher number of politicians and their family members to be hired at companies like Twitter as well. That's very common on Wall Street for example. More specifically hiring former politicians than their family is quite common. You also do see quite a few ex-CIA on Wall Street too.

This is all going to end the same way the Edward Snowden reveal did. Minus the fleeing the country part probably... but no matter how awful, illegal, immoral, or unconstitutional anything was, absolutely nothing will change. The American public will do nothing and this stuff will just continue.
