Hold me, misc. I was the rebound.
Met this gorgeous attorney girl. She checked off everything I was looking for. Things were going so good. Had our second date Friday night and it went really good.
Today she told me she’s dealing with personal stuff having to do with a previous relationship and that she’s not ready to date, but that I’m a really handsome, smart, funny, etc. guy and that we can be friends. I basically said no to the friendship and wished her luck.
I’m absolutely shattered, misc. it’s been 9 years since I’ve been this broken. Not even my divorce had me like this (mainly cause I initiated that). obviously going NC and going to focus on myself just like I have for a while. This feeling is the worst

Yes, met her off Hinge. She was displaying high levels of attraction too. I think the reason I was really hurt (I’m doing better now) is because I only met her good side. So we stopped talking for about 1.5 months. I reached out and asked her how her 5K race went in mid-November, added each other on social media. We’d talk every now and then, mainly replying to stories (both of us) or memes. I really was treading carefully.
Last week we started talking more, set up a hangout for this past Tuesday to go see some Christmas lights around downtown (I was surprised she was down). We had a blast, good conversation, dinner. Great personal conversations. I told her the story of my divorce, and she told me some personal stuff too. We opened up. But I’m still fixated on what she told me back in September about her not being ready. And then she has her thing with her dad having cancer (diagnosed in mid-October) which sucks and obviously that can take a lot out of someone mentally. So basically like where I’m at is, “what’s next” or was it just a friendly hangout. You know? She could’ve easily said no to hanging out. But she said yes. I’m not new to this, I know when a conversation is based on interest. No I didn’t hold hands or kiss, since I didn’t know what tf it was, even though it did feel like a date. Fuuuuu
