Have you brahs seen ChatGPT? Biggest breakthrough in AI ever seen (srs)

ChatGPT is a transformer-based natural language generation platform developed by OpenAI. It is specialized in understanding and responding to queries in conversational contexts. This enables it to automatically generate intelligent and natural-sounding responses to users' inquiries. ChatGPT can be used for customer service inquiries, general knowledge with searchable answers, and even complex conversational tasks. By allowing for quicker and more automated customer service, ChatGPT promises to revolutionize industries such as customer support and e-commerce by allowing for more human-like conversations with AI. It also has applications in education and medical diagnosis. (did not write any of this, just asked ChatGPT to write an introduction on itself)

This is singlehandedly the biggest breakthrough in AI technology we have ever seen, and it's going to be mind-boggling the way this technology is applied to business problems and creative work in the future (srs). It can even write code - you can ask it to develop a video game (that includes certain very specific features) and write it in C++ and it will literally create it in seconds. It can perform creative work better than humans generally can (srs).

I've tried using it for even common leetcode questions and it will have errors in code. It's pretty cool but it can't perform surface level tasks that have lots of data on q&a.
This account claims no relation to the late and great GEORGE FLOYD. RIP BIG FLOYD. BLM

Everything posted by this account is ironic UNLESS it is speaking positively about Saint Floyd. In that case it is not ironic

I love it, but this is something remember. You can't just take the output and run with it. It's not perfect.....yet

It is fundamentally entirely different from Google brah, as well as from modern chatbots (including Siri, Alexa, etc). Google queries the internet forexistingcontent. If you google how to bake a pie, google will show you a recipe that it found online. If you ask an AI how to bake a pie, it can actually create a step by step list (using the billions of strings of information it was trained on), thus actually create new content rather than regurgitating what already exists on the internet. This allows AI to be creative in ways something like a search engine would never be able to. You can ask the AI to give you instructions on how to make a pie, with 8 bulletpoints and each bulletpoint being no longer than 8 words in length, and it will create you an answer in seconds

You need to be more open-minded and creative brah. You are an expert level programmer - now imagine when python libraries will be available and you will be able to create software tools that can directly query AI models like this as part of its functioning. The opportunities are endless for what new tools and processes will arise out of this - many of which we haven't imagined yet

Personally, I'm super excited about this because I love programming and microcontrollers and the gears in my head are churning as to what new inventions I could come up with using this new technology

I was asking it why building 7 fell down last night and downvoting all of it's cookie cutter narrative answers. I'm trying to make it based but idk if it's programmed to take feedback from users or if that goes to the devs

AI gon run the government, diagnose your medical problems and teach kids at online school through digitally created teacher avatars. I bet as soon as it starts to solve complex societal problems, logistical problems and financial infrastructure problems in an instant, people will quickly embrace it. After that happens, people's jobs will pretty much be geared towards contributing knowledge/ideas to the database of the AI so it can get better.

This uses neural nets and such? It feels pretty similar to the "vision" camera-based AI car driving technology but applied to text

More of a cool commercial execution than a breakthrough (let alone biggest ever) - Transformer models have been around since 2017 and large language models based on them came soon after. No real paper, but it doesn't seem like the reinforcement learning they use is anything special either.

Still cool tho.

Anything billed as "AI" likely uses neural nets these days. The two fields (computer vision and natural language processing) do wind up having a lot of similarities, but you still have to do a good amount of work to take stuff from one field and adapt it to the other usually.

I think I read that they combined it with reinforcement learning too

It seems to have been made as to not answer certain questions like a basic touring test question "how do you kill a person with a towel" and it refuses to discuss crime statistics.

Definitely doesn't pass the touring test.

I took a full year of machine learning including a reinforcement learning class and I still don't know how the fuk these PhDs created it I bet that teacher took front end web design as a senior year capstone sequence
