Don't get me wrong, cals in vs cals out is a HUGE part of it, probably the most important part, but there are other factors at play for sure regarding meal timing, inflammation and hormone response, insulin response etc.

Meal timing is absolute cope. I used to work long hours with short breaks and down circa 3000 cals in an hour and it never affected my progress

Barring PEDS: Nobody loses straight fat. So, what is the ratio of lean mass to fat that you drop when you do the easy part of dropping calories to lose weight?
Now you get into the conversation about hormones, sleep, training, macros, adequate fats (which when you're below maintenance is very fuking important) and all the other important chit that CICO zealots without Avis do not seem to grasp. And you want to talk about the individual, because Porky sitting at 25%BF is not the same guy as someone leaner than the OP and sitting at 13% or lower, trying to cut those last few lbs and hitting constant walls, having their dicks stop working or running out of energy constantly with cravings b/c they aren't maximizing their diets and just think it's about adding or dropping more calories.

FAT LOSS is cals in Vs cals out. So no, I’m not going back on anything
protein is relevant in the scope of people on here because we lift and protein = muscle mass. But she doesn’t lift, so she doesn’t have to worry about that

This guy is such a fraud because the content of his posts are straight 4chan incel which doesn't correlate at all with the pictures he posted in here of a normal looking non-incel, then he posts about having a girl who looks like she is PRE pubescent who apparently is also a whale? So she looks like a fat 10 year old? I'm out boys, keep toasting the dumbest roll bread.

CICO is king, but things like sleep, hormones, etc can push the needle either way in terms of calories burnt/retained due to metabolism etc.

I’m a BBC but I see tons of BBCs that mog me (that I believe are natty). I’m bottom of the barrel genetic bbc trash. I’ve trained with countless BBCs and there used to be one dude that just had me in awe, dude barely even tried but would throw up crazy weights (at the time) and just had a crazy physique. I’m way stronger than him now but only because I was calculated and trained hard, as the saying goes, Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard. But I’ll always consider him a strong/jacked freak of nature.
Yeah, I think if 99% if people just stuck to the basics and not overcomplicate/overthink chit they’d be far better off. People will blame their lack of progress on some BS variable when they know they didn’t give it 100%. I started off at 150-155lbs and i struggled to gain weight for a VERY long time, I could have coped and said (its muh genetics, hard gainer etc) but I just trained hard and ate more. Now I’m circa 200lbs lean.
I’m telling you all these people you hear that struggle with this chit are just full of chit and don’t try hard enough

And, while the OP is a screwhead and wrong, the simple fatloss advice to someone to eat less and exercise *is* actually not a bad thing. Pretty sure most of the people here shaking their heads at the OP won't disagree, either.
Some mid-20s girl who wants to drop from 160-180 to under 150 probably doesn't need to get too technical to make a fairly easy goal and will do pretty good to just eat less and get a gym membership. Worst case, the simple advice works fine at first and once she's cruising along and maybe slowing progress or hitting a fatloss wall, then you add in more detailed advice to fine tune things.

Calories in and calories out are not constant. The way your body deals with them varies greatly depending on age, genetics, activity level, hormones and so on as she said. And who was micronutrients?
Why don't you test it out and just eat exactly maintenance calories worth of junk food OP?

If you train hard and eat McDonald’s, kfc etc and actually get enough protein and stay within a smart calorie range, you’re still gonna look decent
I’ve had this approach for years and it’s never failed me. I eat whatever I want. The only reason I DONT constantly eat chit is because diet plays a role in skin care, and I’m a skincare ****. If I didn’t care about skincare I’d be eating McDonald’s and pizza everyday

Someone whose internal organs are all fatty, who is pre-diabetic or diabetic, that is metabolic damage. Yes, the cure is blatantly obvious -- and you stated it, but that sick person does not have the same robust metabolism as a normal person.
You're talking about it as the excuse people throw around to avoid dieting or to explain why theirs failed -- and that generally is bunk. I fast for days at a time and, while it's been awhile, I've been on caloric deficits for up to 2-3 months at a time. I don't buy "I ruined my metabolism" any more than you do, in that sense.

Just fkn lol @ CICOcels.
Saying weight loss or gain is due to calories in vs calories out is like saying that soccer is just scoring more goals than you let in. It's true as a pointless statement of the obvious, but utterly irrelevant for someone trying to coach a winning soccer team. It's like a coach saying he won't put any thought into player recruitment, fitness and conditioning, team selection, positions, skill training, etc, because soccer is just goals scored vs goals let in so none of those things matter.
They question is WHY do some people live their lives eating the same calories as they exert without ever feeling hungry ever in their lives, while other people are fat and gaining weight but feel desperately hungry if they are in a CICO balance even briefly. That is to do with the content of the diet, state of your gut biota, timing of eating, metabolic training, types of exercise, all sorts fo things.

I think people are starting to go all over the place in this thread with things that don't matter at this point.
You have a fat girl that needs to lose weight/fat. Most people who decide they want to try to lose weight try to clean up their diet first. I do believe they try to make healthier choices and they do this before they even figure out what kind of calorie intake they need.
I a firm believer you need to keep it simple...let's not over complicate things. Figure out your deficit, set your protein amount and divide your remaining calories the way you see fit. Move your body more by throwing in some exercise or some type of activity...something that has you moving. Let your diet do the work.
If you get to a point where you want to take things to a higher level, that's when you start fine tuning and playing around with other things.
