2023 Looking really empty for Consolecels

PS blew their load early releasing their cross gen big guns GoW and HFW, not interested in spider man or wokespoken, FF16 looks ok but never played a full FF game, Xbox still has nothing AAA confirmed right? another year hoping for Starfield?

Overall lack of new IP's is concerning.


EDOT: Mainly talking AAA exclusives.

just found out company of heroes 3 is coming to console, cant wait for that. the only game that made me consider getting a good pc.

Guess I meant AAA exclusives speaking, take out the multiplats/remakes mid tier games and you're left with very little.

I know there will probably announce more but right now there isnt much, lol at PS only having Spidey... too bad because Sony likes to announce games like 2 years before, almost never drop a heavy hitter only 6-8 months before

Also like i said, like 2 new IPs in that big ass list.

So you're not interested in Spiderman 2 and FF16 and this means no one else is?

Those games are incredibly hyped. The Spiderman 2 reveal trailer has 26 million views while Ragnarok had 18 million, basically 33% less.

There's also Horizon Burning Shores, which will be the size of a full game. Also Armored Core 6, Final Fantasy 7 Remake part 2, Jedi Survivor, Wo Long, Stellar Blade, Hogwarts, RE4 Remake, Dead Space, Diablo 4, Silent Hill 2 Remake and the new Silent Hill, Assassin's Creed off the top of my head. I'm having anxiety already wondering how the fuk I'll find the time for so many games.

Next year is amazing for gaming but sure a lot will be multiplat.

I still suspect Sony to announce a load of games next year.

But finally Nintrannycels will be able to compete next year thanks to Zelda.

The funny part is op hasn't told us what PC exclusives he's hyped for. All the big AAA titles on PC are also on consoles.

Im just saying spiderman and FF16 is very little, FF is pretty much multiplat.

Wonder how many just clicked on the spiderman trailer just because they like spiderman/super heroes but arent even gamers or planning to get a PS5.

Burning Shores is a completely new story and will be longer than TLOU and Callisto Protocol. Maybe more than both combined. Of course it counts.

What's the issue with games being multiplat? We still get to enjoy them on console. Isn't your post about consoles having nothing? We get all the AAAs of PC as well as a few extra exclusives that PC won't get. Sounds like the best deal available.

Actually pretty keen for Xcloud in VR and purchased games being playable through it.

There's a few decent AAA games coming out, but if it's anything like 2022, the indies will destroy them.

Diablo 4
Atomic Heart
Stalker 2
Starfield
Forza
Star Wars
Hell Blade 2

Seems like a great year for Xbox. Will have no chance at getting through all those.

Really looking forward to the new Forza, probably as excited as I can get for a game these days. Also looking forward to Starfield, but I bet it will need some patching to really get great, seems to be the standard for big ambitious games these days.

I very much expect Sony to have more than Spidermen, but as things are slated this could finally be the year Xbox outdoes PS is software, 10+ years in the making.

Acting as if nothing in is coming in 2023 as a whole is just insane though. So many great games these days, and so many things on the calendar for 2023. If you aren't finding enough to enjoy I'd suggest a new hobby.

10+? not sure that's right. It's probably only been about 2 or 3 years Xbox has been dominating software. 2023 should take be pretty huge with their VR ties and cloud games.
