You’re living life vicariously through scraps of leftover history on the internet.

It’s even more cringe than being on social media.

The people you idolize would want nothing to do with some incel obsessed with his view of the world formed through a computer screen. We used to live outside the internet, and we reject weird people like you obsessed with something they never experienced and living in some anti social shell.

Whatever cope you have is meaningless as long as you continue this pathetic behavior.

Yeah I agree but though guys who are in the top 5% (usually based upon their career/money) are pretty stale. They're the same guys who go home just to play on social media/phones. Dressing like a clown showing ankles. Then they drive some ****ty 2023 benz. It's all the same and pretty uneventful.

There doesn't seem to be any people who are completely well rounded knowing all cultures, having all hobbies, being relatively athletic, and most of all, having a crazy persona that isn't some awkward nerd. Doesn't even matter if they have a **** job, just being cool/talking like a man/keeping yourself occupied with a ton of physical things goes a long way for a character.

For whatever reason, I just noticed that all guys/women from pre 2011 were way ahead of people now. Lifestyle/character wise.
Damn Christina looks like a straight up demonic lawn gnome. How did she successfully convince people that she had sex appeal? Well, she had a good run...

[img]https://imgur.com/NQ0PI84.jpg
She looked awesome back then, different design everyday. Just like all the other women back then. I think she just hopped on the surgery/cake faced rectangle eyebrow social media retarded look now. It has happened to every woman out there and all the women that I thought looked hot in their prime 13-20 years ago. Like Gwen Stefani, Tulisa, Megan Fox, Paris Hilton etc etc. They all have this weird surgery copied cake face look now. Their lips are such weird shapes now. Can't say they are old, look at Madonna in her 40s (like 20 years ago), she looked pretty good, it's an era thing.

I remember Pamela Anderson on mtv cribs and she looked so cool in that episode. Only she looked good with all that surgery. Nobody looks better with face surgery. That woman Jennifer Conelly had a killer image in the 90s, now she also has that cake face look, less than others though. Jennifer Aniston was super hot in the 90s, now what the heck, basically a guy. Even 10 years ago she looked okay. It's an era thing. The weather girls/pit stop girls don't look that good in this era too, everyone looks the same. Stuff sucks.

Finally, a normal question. One thing, if you noticed, I seem to usually post at this time when I'm on this site, our time zones are different but I'm usually posting at 10pm ish, ie, the end of the day.

Well, today is a week day and lots of places are closed because of the new year/bank holiday. I fixed my wardrobe, flat packed some stuff and put it in the loft, played with some Christmas presents, did a workout, picked up some tools from some guys house, bought a book at a charity shop, read another segment of a science book (different book), read up about body mechanics (using the internet for its intended purpose, not wasting time), did some stretches/worked on multiple skills (language, physical ability, kicking higher, improving my memory recall by studying everything/reciting stuff I already know), packed up some parcels to sell online, sorted a royal mail dispute, and maybe some other things later. I also maintained/ripped the dead spikes from my plant outside, the Spanish dagger. Planted some lavender because the winter killed them. Helped my Mum with moving stuff.

Then tons more smaller things. Also remember that this is just a random day close to the near year, usually I'm doing a lot more without bank holiday.

That's not including actual leisure stuff which occupies maybe 1 hour of my day. Being watching jackass/extreme sports/top gear/cartoons etc. Then the smaller things like making food, having a shower, reassembling the kitchen ricer cooker (DIY warranty), organising the shed etc.

This was all on a bank holiday. Also excluding stuff like razor clean shaving my beard/tensing in the mirror/gel spiking my hair, organising **** and talking to my family/whatever.

I did more than basically every male out there today. Probably more than what they would do in an entire year. What's my competition? A fat ass who just scrolled on his phone for 12 hours or playing videogames all mopey wasting his life.

This is why I hate everyone. Nobody does anything, people have 0 ambition and wow, they do nothing do anything with 0 charisma/low energy. What a surprise that they suck at everything/have a useless stale life. Clowns live on a microwave/online services. It's weird to be an adult and have all these self inflicted issues. I wouldn't expect a teenager to be this useless. Perplexes me on why clowns all look the same but that's a whole other issue.

The bar was set super higher maybe 30 years ago, now clowns can do nothing all day and maintain a life, well, a garbage life.

You can always tell when a clown is useless. Just look at their **** forearms/soft moisturised palms LOL. Even gym guys are useless in the real world. 0 skills and 0 life experience.

What did you do today?

EDIT: Also, regarding that microwave comment. I also have different healthy food every single day. None of this meal prep **** because food isn't a chore. I don't eat like a dumpster and I have a ripped 6 pack. So yeah.

I would've thought that the stuff I do is normal, but only back in pre 2011 were guys like this. They'd somehow do more aswell.

Yeah, I was looking on my brothers old computer from 2005ish that died in 2009ish. Hooked it up a few months ago and it's all just bikes, cars, bass boosted/edited music tracks on audacity, jackass, crazy wallpapers, flash game downloads to put on a usb, line rider tracks, tons of dumb folders filled with ****, extreme sports videos, etc etc. It was just a time capsule of different stuff. Almost all the bookmarks were dead links. Pretty sad to see how all this culture is gone.

Me and my brother were exactly the same at one point in time. Lasted years. But he grew up in like 6 months after a lifetime of fun/crazy dumb things. We still talk about this old **** but I can tell this is all a past life thing for him. It sucks because he was the last guy who I thought was the coolest, even after he finished uni he was still crazy. He was just me x10. Into the gym, cars, mma, clubland/metal, gel spiked hair, videogames, being out all day playing on the beach/park/river/anywhere, just everything out there and all hobbies. After landing a job he just lost that insane personality. After 2012 he changed, but not like the usual nonsense clowns are facing. He is now preoccupied with work/climbing the corporate ladder just like what my family wanted, but I don't get why it changed his persona. If he was born 10 years earlier, I'm sure he would still be the same whacky person despite landing a job. Sucks how it all changed. It's like a mixture of 2012 and getting older in this case.

Read #19. I asked a couple of guys what they did today and they stammered/said basically nothing. This was at the gym at 8pm. A 2010 guy would've said, "I went on a bike trail, chatted up this woman, tuned my car etc". That was usually by 2pm. By 8pm a guy should've done like 20 things. Doesn't matter if the task was putting up a shelf or something dumb like falling down some stairs or something funny like eating expired food. I don't get how people don't do anything all day. People are just switched off. Nobody has any charisma aswell.
Dude i don't get how people are on their phone all day. In 2011 i didn't even have a phone and i'd be out all day long doing different things and working on personal goals like lifting and chit. But like i was always determined to be doing something until night and then i would get on the computer or something.

Yeah nobody wants to do anything that requires effort anymore. People don't have goals or anything anymore. No self improvement.

Have you also noticed that nobody really listens to music anymore? I remember in 2011 myself and most people i knew blared music all day. Could be metal, country, pop, retro music or anything really. We'd blare it from our cars. Idk anyone that does this anymore. I don't even know any of the current artists because literally nobody talks about them anymore. I don't think i could name 10 of them. Nobody talks about their car stereos or bands or anything anymore.

I could bring up System of a Down or Luke Bryan and people wouldn't even know who they are lmao

Yeah but look at #2, #12 and #36. I would never have even thought of these dumb issues if it was 2010 right now. I would've been out hanging out with everyone. Now I just can't understand how things got like this. There's also a big distinction between me and other clown guys from this time. I choose not to be friends with people for the aforementioned drawbacks they all seem to have, main thing being their design, low energy/feminine behaviour and the fact that they are obsessed with social media/phones/looking the same. I can go out and be friends with whoever I see, I mean I workout and talk normally, two appealing things for a guy. Again, I just don't want to, people are on some weird band which revolves around technology/pats on their backs.

I go out all the time. I travel around in different countries and on the London Underground and all I see is stale boring clowns. Sure we could hang out, but they're not on my level so what's the point. Nobody has anything interesting to say and if they do, that's all they know and that's as far as our little altercation would go.

If I somehow met a steveo/2000s xgames star/hot 2000s woman etc version from this era I would probably not think of this **** as much despite being aware. I don't think it exists, I mean anyone who even owns a smartphone is an instant personality killer who I'd see as a garbage clown. I just haven't seen anyone who's actually cool/epic and I've probably seen like a million people walking around in the past few years. Then there's the internet populated with all kinds of garbage clowns who also don't fit this epic criteria. Like not even 1 person. How is that possible, pre 2010 everyone was insanely cool. So that's why I don't know what is going on, like what happened to the cool people who were normal as 2nd nature.

When I look at the pre 2010 guys/women in old footage/pictures I just think, **** I missed out. Could've had some epic days out doing crazy **** and we could have an actual conversation that doesn't include politics and weird dumb **** like social media/weird awkward low energy crap.

I mean u were probably in ur 20s like 20 years ago, surely you can see how dumb things are compared to the cool people from your time. What's the bet they all looked cool, had 10 physical hobbies/were occupied with normal stuff and talked about awesome **** as 2nd nature. How can u even be bothered to talk to these morons when compared to people back then? (Actual advice)

I hate everyone. I shouldn't because I see the 2000s people as amazing/epic. People I would actually want to hang out with.

EDIT: Also, this sounds all overly thought out. But in my day to day life, I just think this as 2nd nature and gloss over basically everything from this era. I don't try to make life a chore because this is just how I function I guess. I'm just forever waiting for something.

The chicks were all fit soccer girls and wore Adidas or Diesel gear too. Hot bitches with big curly hair and big hoop earrings and slim bodies and nice European faces. Ginos and Ginas to the core.

Nobody fcked with us cause we had a huge crew and we were all tight as fck but we showed respect to family and friends and only got into trouble when someone started it first.

Then when we hit our mid 20s people moved off and started families and now only a couple of us Guidos are left still reppin the epic look.

I know what you mean OP, fashion is cyclical it'll come back one day just hang in there.
Whatttt?? If this wasn't a joke, this is exactly how I think. Like if your name/delt picture wasn't there, I would've thought I wrote that.

This is exactly what I'm talking about. Like word for word. Even the part about girls with big hair, hoop earrings/soccer girls with hot faces and bodies, diesel jeans, that whole 2nd paragraph was perfectly written with the actual guy culture that was damn pictured in #2?! You somehow talk just like me.

Everything u said was exactly right. Having the hair, gym style and even cologne. That's what guys were like. I don't understand how u remember all this and nobody else does. That eod guy also somehow remembers this kind of thing. Maybe like 2 other users remember it too, but I think it's just there in the back of their mind.

Yeah and I understand the part about growing up, that's exactly what happened to my brother (see #). He stopped this whole high octane/crazy style **** when he was in his mid 20s. But if he turned 25 like 15 years ago, I doubt his persona would've changed as much as it did in this era.

I just don't get what happened. You and your friends are the exact guys I would hang out with. Probably crazy guys chasing actual hot women. All away from these stupid ****ing phones/screens whilst looking cool as ****. This just doesn't exist at all anymore.

Since you basically know the root of how I think, how do you manage in this world with all these clowns existing around you? I mean knowing all that strong culture about hitting the gym/spiked hair/having a group of friends all into this ****, how can u go from that utopia to whatever you've got going on now in this era?

You're probably the 1st or 2nd person I've seen who understands what I mean. Epic stuff on your half :L

Just saw in my email that Ken Block died!! Noooo, that guy was cool as ****. On par with Colin McRae/Travis Pastrana.

Died in a snowmobile accident. Man why can't some other retards die, this guy was actually a cool person. I think it was in Fifth Gear where him and Tiff Nadal were seeing who could drift closest to a wall, he was like 1mm away or something stupid like that.

20 years ago I was 17

And as much as I get the sentiment you have and view most people in public spaces as practically a different species then me. Yes most people seem like stupid hypnotized cattle.

But individually people are still there and I still talk to everyone and go about my business. I don’t obsess about being different, I don’t care that no one else is like me, I’ve always had my own style and done my own thing and will continue to.

I recommend you do the same and take a long break from the entire internet while you find something in the real world to connect with. Maybe move to the country.

One thing I noticed is that guys/women aged 65-90 are pretty okay/nice to talk to. They're always smiling too. It's a shame they're so old but they're always usually interesting to talk with. It's because they grew up like 40 years before I was born, a completely different time before technology and when morals were morals. Dressing appropriately/respecting others was a top priority. A time when you had to open your mouth and converse to get by.

I sometimes catch the service bus to beat the congestion and it's packed with these old people. They're just filled with knowledge and they're somehow full of charisma. (Complete opposite of the mopey depressed useless copy and paste phone using ankle showing retards under age 35 in 2022) So for whatever reason I was talking to this ridiculously old man on the bus about xtreme sports (I talk about this with anyone and everyone) (Also, prior to that he said that he used to ride his motorcycle around when he was my age which created that conversation) This guy was telling me 100 stories about his motorbike and how he used to travel around with his wife. He knew everything about travelling aswell. I was then telling him about xtreme sports and he was genuinely interested in it. He was talking about the "beautiful women from his time" and how nobody compared to the women from the 60s. We both agreed on the most desirable qualities in a woman. It was an awesome conversation. This guy was catching me out on slight inaccuracies (nobody catches me out on inaccuracies). When I threw a curve ball and caught him out, he would then play mind games like a teacher. This is like old man 101. It was amazing. The 35 minute conversation felt like 2 days because he was talking so slowly but it was worth it.

Probably the strongest conversation I've had in years. The mental stimulation you'd get from being quizzed on something. This other old woman (had to be around age 90) was telling me about eye surgery and how it has changed in the past decades. Full history and the do's and don'ts. Again, full of charisma/high energy. No phones or any bullcrap copy and paste nonsense. Just old people being old people. It clearly works for them.

I think the clowns under age 40 should learn from them. Could only imagine the distraught from that old guy if he spoke to a regular completely switched off awkward moron from this era. There'd be no curve balls/laughter. Just disappointment/confusion.

It just shows that this social etiquette did exist. The stuff I talk about from pre 2010 was in action/the norm. Except younger guys aged 18-35 were onboard with this. These old people have just not kept up with the modern day bullcrap hence why they can talk really well.

Being quick/having an attention for detail was a huge deal in our family household. It was taught because that's what the real world was like (these old people out there are an example of that). What happened? I could talk about a bread board being the fix for my broken calculator with a guy from this era and he'd just nod and agree/give suggestions. People are so stupid because of technology.

But yeah, old people are surprisingly okay, sure there are crazy ones, but as a whole they seem to be the most stable age group.

It's strange how life can be haha.

Dude boomers have better social skills but they still just tell stories about the old days or the news. Everyone else is glued to their phones. That's the problem though is that it doesn't matter where you go people just get on their phones since like 2015. In 2011 literally nobody would be on phones we'd all be doing hobbies and stuff or socializing

Yeah, and I'm sure you being 17 or 25 in your time was amazing. None of the weird things that are present in this dumb era were even a thing back then.

I see, we probably go about this whole thing in a similar fashion, I'm more dramatic about it given the walls of text I write. I don't get how you can even bother to interact with these people though. To me it's like a curse to be an adult in this era. I wanted to go to the carnival/gokarting/paintballing etc (same venue), when I arrived there was hardly anyone there and everyone was just taking pictures/standing around like weirdos as if they were sentenced to have fun?? Nobody was even talking. You should see the horrendous body language, I don't know where you are currently, but I swear the internet killed all people all over the world. It's unbelievable. It's more crazy that 12 years ago nobody was like this.

Even the sacred places like the gym are filled with low energy weird guys who just text/take pictures and waste time. The whole gym floor scene looks terrible. They all look like nerds with the same retarded look, nothing like the Frank Zane/Terminator era. Nobody has a pump.

Yeah, I'm offline most of the time. Used the internet enough and there's never anything new. I have tried to find solid/epic people but they don't exist. Heck, I travelled to Sri-Lanka, *****, most of UK, London, Japan etc and maybe Japan seemed the most normal. That's basically all of the world culture and I have been out there for a cumulative time of years. Even still their phone is their life so it still kills any proper conversation. Peoples brains are completely out the window since they rely on their phone for everything.

Move to the country?

Culture/Hobbies/Conversation/Style has all died out and phones/screens took over. I don't know what to do, I don't get how only I think this way and nobody seems to care although people seem to have this nostalgia about 2012 despite being the exact problem. It's just copy and paste/dejavu with every person I've ever met in the past 6ish years.

Yeah but that hypnotised cattle comment wasn't a thing 10 years ago although a typical 9-5 life was common. Before people were still pretty different from eachother and weren't obsessed with the internet.

I don't get how you just gloss over this seeing as how you were an adult in a completely different era. Doesn't it play on your mind?

Yeah I agree. I don't see why people are obsessed with their phones. I remember when that Chinese song by psy reached 1 billion views on youtube in 2012 or 2013. It was huge news because it was so retarded. Everyone was just laughing at the stupidity of the population saying it was chinese bots/automation. Fast forward to now, there's 100s of videos with over a billion views, there's a few being higher than the earth's population. That's just on one platform. Think of all the other platforms out there. There's got to be 100s of trillions of views. People are beyond addicted and nobody even cares lol?? I mean this is a community effort lol.

Exactly, even my parents instilled that at a younger age. To play outside, do chores and come back in at sundown, then I can play videogames/play on my ds/ps2 or whatever. On our house pc, we had K9 web protection which keyword blocked 90% of websites and it would lock after 45 minutes. Parents were stupidly strict but it wasn't a big deal to me because seeing internet trash even back then wasn't appealing to me. Never did I know what you can actually find on the internet. Clowns these days are scarring themselves for life looking at countless hours of weird stuff online. It's completely normal aswell. Search engines bring up the weirdest suggested things.

The internet is manmade, nobody is meant see this. Seeing any of the crap online shouldn't be a thing. It honestly took away the mystery of life. I mean, anyone can Google anything at anytime. It's a joke, what's the point in making life so easy that it killed any cognitive function in us? Like, if I wanted to know something about a car part/diy house fixes, 30 years ago I'd have to ask that genius friend or head to the library to rummage through the oddly specific section of books. Heck, you could build friendships on this kind of thing. Either that or I'd have to wait weeks on my challenging question. **** like this made life fun, but in this era that isn't even a thing. Similar examples can be said for the internet killing travelling with a gps, finding out culture without going anywhere, buying something unobtainable without making the climb for it, using your own brain to form your own life, reading about anything historical etc etc. 13 years ago it was similar since nobody really had a smartphone, they were buggy/unreliable anyways despite being cool to own.

The internet should really just disappear, it would fix a lot of things. It ruined the spice of life. It has made human interaction something that isn't compulsory anymore. You could live a whole life indoors seeing how life is laid out in this dumb era.

Yeah, most clowns just sit in silence when those dumb wireless earphones in listening to some weird rap. Nobody even listens to all the genres. I swear that well rounded/chameleon persona died out by 2012. Everyone knew the charts/metal/clubland/rap or anything A-Z. People only know like 2 or 3 weird things now like anime remixed rap or something lol.

Yeah, I guess with me I like talking about whatever, even if it is about some random life short story. If this was some 20 year old trying this I would've just walked off because no way is it going to be interesting. I agree and I guess old people come in all forms, I just like that they're built on a whole other era and they'd laugh at offensive stuff as 2nd nature lol.

Despite this old guy being kind of cool, it won't matter in the long run because I can't really hang out with this guy haha. With a normal aged person I just get fed up with their garbage stuttering pussy body language while they're itching to talk about braindead topics like politics/weird anime. People look beyond horrendous, it kills the conversation before it has started. The amount of guys that make the connection with my hair and anime, I swear I just want to launch them through a wall even though it should be a funny comment. 15 years ago if a guy said this it would be funny/create a conversation because he'd be a cool guy unlike the pussies now. It's just the way it's said, saying it like a gym buff surfer vs saying an oddly specific weird anime character like a wimp/looking like a pencil weed afraid of everything with the most awkward body language ever are 2 completely different things LOL. Nobody has that high energy bursting to say something, it's always just awkward weird social media type talk.

I don't either. Anywhere i go people are listening to a podcast or on their phones/screens. Nobody talks about just normal hobbies or whatever anymore it has to be something they heard on tv or social media. Yeah exactly only like 1 out of every 100 dudes maybe has that energy to act like a jackass now. In 2011 every dude was like that. So yeah if you go somewhere and just one dude is acting like that it's going to be awkward. Most people will literally just be standing around awkwardly with an ear pod in checking their phones over and over. Effort is non existent now. Doesn't matter if you are at work, the gym anywhere people just don't wanna put in effort. Idk how anything even functions tbh. The whole point of doing things is to put in effort so you can get a reward. It's non existent now.

Honestly it makes no sense how the era post 2015ish and post 2020ish are so bland and stale. The 2000s had every culture imaginable switched into some explosion adrenaline pump. It's like everything had to be designed to perfection. An example can be seen in advertising back then, it was on a whole other level. If you were fat/ugly you'd be told to **** off and women had to be thin/hot like some barbie, guys had to be clean shaven/ripped as ****. Even if you fit that criteria in the 2000s, you wouldn't be chosen because they only wanted the best. If you were fat/ugly you'd have that self respect to not even show up because on screen it would like terrible. It was harsh but that's how you got by in life. It taught you good life lessons and how looking after yourself is important. That hardcore mindset went a lot further because it was in everything. E.g, music covers all had hot people on it, car shows all had strippers as entertainment, guys at clubs were all kitted out and ripped paired with the hottest women ever etc. The way the people thought back then was crazy even for me, but it all made sense since everybody was laid back about it.

The 90s had a lot of culture, but man, the 2000s just had everything. Cars, music, style, everything. Pick anything, even something completely random like dancing. There was like 100 different active dance styles back then, all smaller communities spread out everywhere. It was cool as ****. This plays back into the point about people being far more well rounded back then. In 2007 a man could be an emo skater into cars and clubland then might enjoy paintballing and lifting with 10+ normal hobbies. He'd talk like a energetic normal guy aswell. In 2023 that would be unheard of, in 2007 that was entry level.

I hate everyone. Man I wish everyone just vanished already. Pisses me off that in the grand scheme of things, I was late to the scene by maybe 8 years and the universe scales in billions of years? I mean come the **** on. Everyone is braindead/awkward and obsessed with a damn phone. The occasional retard trying to wear 90s/2000s fashion looks horrific, it's like the thought process on what looks good isn't a thing anymore. It's painfully obvious when some awkward clown is trying to wear baggy jeans/some retarded 2022 designed 2000s shirt paired with a dead persona. The people who lived in the 90s/2000s at that time all looked like perfection, you just can't reenact that epic **** unless you were frozen in time since 2010.

A guy in the 2000s would chuck on a pair of jeans and be out the door in like 5 seconds flat. Women would take hours, no problem there because that was how it went. Now guys take like 2 hours choosing pussy designer **** and they look like a joke, then women take 10 seconds with their copy and paste low effort look?? This is beyond crazy.

Away from the stupid superficial side of things, nobody has a heavy persona that would be a shock to the system. It is what made life interesting. Everyone I meet now is the same.

This is also the first era without an actual distinct thing to pair it with. 60s, 70s, etc up to the early 10s all had something, now it's just nothing with awkward phone users.

Exactly. Everyone's looking for shortcuts and it's getting ridiculous. It's like dejavu forever. The tools we have at our disposal makes it impossible to **** up unless you had some extenuating circumstances stopping you. I mean, I could google "how to succeed" or something retarded like that, 10 minutes of cross referencing answers and then I've found my answer. For the most part, clowns make excuses for nothing but then their whole life consists of a phone, social media and looking like copy and paste clones listening to the same rap all day staring at the floor avoiding contact?? There are billions of guys/girls living the same clone life. I would rather not even be alive. Lol, makes 0 sense.

I wonder what people in their 40s-60s think. I mean most of their life had nothing to do with this pathetic era, it must play on their minds but I doubt they would care since their best years were 20+ years ago. The morals they taught their kids at the start are non existent now. The weird part is that guys/women aged 27-40 were still cool as **** 15 years ago. Now they all just look like jokes. It's just weird how it's like this.

Nobody even notices the gigantic shift. How is this possible. Compare any 1990-2011 footage/pictures of people/music/movies or just funny videos and see how insanely different it is to the present era and its pussy aura/fragile general look it has going on. I can't stand this new weird era since 2014iish. 2020 to now is just 100x more frail/poofy. The thumbnails of lifting videos or music videos/adverts are all rainbowy and weird, so weird. The front of youtube looks like a pathetic joke. Before 2011 it was all flames/tribal tattoo hardcore explosions. What happened I swear.

One thing I just realised aswell. 50 cent looked insane in his prime. He was ridiculously ripped/big and actually looked pretty cool in his rap subculture. He got all the hottest tan women with ease. Compare this guy to the camp pencil neck face tattooed clowns in this era. I swear every culture has been ruined in this dumb era.

Same with akon, he was ridiculously cool. That clip of him launching someone off stage, he was like a black rambo. It was awesome. Back when having a good image meant having a sick physique/being hyper aggressive. Now it's just fat fat fat or looking like a freaky wimp.
