That cancelling the entire game was a bit of an overreaction or may have been based too much on emotion than logic? Millions of revenue lost, personal lives affected who counted on this game (not fans or fantasy, but legit working purposes). Would they ever admit this?

Have they started talk on what the plan is to make up for the game?

You already know if the game continued his team mates would lose the game since they would be too stressed to continue.

Much of the reaction was based on emotions, but I'm still not sure how you could ask the Bills players to go back out there and play. The literally just thought they watched one of their brothers on the field die. When the players were warming up to get back on the field initially they all had 1000 yard stares or will still in tears. I think it was Zach Taylor who brought a ref over to Sean McDermont and was like we need to end this game because McDermont was so shook.
At the end of the day, it appears the NFL let the coaches and players make the decision whether to play, and the coaches/players said no.

Won't be an issue - they will do a rematch and revenue will likely be even higher. They did the right thing - he was confirmed dead for a few minutes on field before revival via CPR.

WWE's Over The Edge PPV went on after Owen Hart died.

ESPN already made boatloads of money on Monday night with the most watched MNF since they moved it there.

Yeah, how terrible for the corporations and brands that already have billions in profit from other games.

The players? They make triple of what even the highest earning miscers make. I'm sure they aren't worried.

They should've switched the football with a dead baby and resumed play. People woulda been so focused at them tossing the baby around no one would've noticed a player getting CPR on the field. It's a simple slight of hand trick i learned as a magician.

That's why I hope Roger Goodell sticks to his guns and doesn't give them a rematch. They wanted to cancel the game based purely on emotion and without considering the implications of seeding so they don't deserve to get a chance to fight for seeding anymore. It's a logistical nightmare to have to cancel a game let alone re-schedule it and push the playoffs back.
