Youre not suppose to use jack stands alone. its suppose to be for lifting only then you place the car on stands.

As you get older and wiser, you take safety more seriously because its only a matter of time before one gets hurt by working on the car. I still get uneasy anytime I lift the car up.

The jack has a warning label on the side that says you can't use it alone.

I use all three. I lift with the jack and then I lower the car onto some jacks, but I will leave the lift to slightly lift the car.

Disk brakes are easy


My gfs ****mobile has drum brakes for the rear brakes. I took a tire off and looked at that **** and put it back on and took it to pep boys.
Lifts:
Squat: 460x1
Bench: 400x1
Deadlift: 575x1
OHP: 250x2
Weight: 180 lbs.

Cuz the Seals can blow out of the jack. I do what you do when I'm being lazy but I still throw a stand under there for backup

What was the mechanical problem ?
the battery in my car was old as fuk and just died i guess. glad it wasnt the alternator. also my coolant got low.

lol professional protectant? terminal corrosion is from undercharging/overcharging of the alternator, that protectant is useless on a properly functioning car.

if I'm going to be under the car for a while, i always put the tire I removed under the frame as the last ditch safety

I never put the tire under because if the car did fall, it'd fk up my rims lol. The lift and jacks is the best method. Jacks are only 20$
