Dental Veneers

Anyone have them done? Thinking about getting my top 4 teeth done as I have a large chip and some decent wear on them. Pretty damn expensive though and doubt insurance covers any of it

I had dental bonding done, ended up being mostly covered by insurance and costing me next to nothing with quite good results. No grinding down the teeth, few numbing shots in the gums but overall really easy

doesn't last as long as veneers but I also think it looks perfectly natural

If you're someone who grinds his teeth lifting, sleeping, have a hard bite, etc absolutely not.
Theyre not even close to being as strong as teeth since they're thin porcelain, and are quite fragile.

They WILL come off. I know someone who's had to have his fixed constantly, and had one he cracked replaced. He constantly aware of how hard he bites down on things like pizza.

They are actually stronger than your original teeth after they are installed. They are very fragile before installation though. I had my top 4 front teeth done 11 years ago and have not had any issues at all with them. I do sleep with a night guard though because I grind my teeth.

I've had them on my top 6 for almost 15 years now. They're great because I have very soft enamel and would easily get discoloring and even some cavities on the face of the teeth, regardless of how well I brushed and flossed. And they have different colors/shades, so you can have them look very natural and real as opposed to this:






Although, as someone before said, over the course of this time I've had 2 or 3 come off. So long as you save it and don't need a new one made, they can cement it right back on. No problem.
