For the love of ****ing god plz help : Trunk will not open

My human has tried the following so far

drilling out the lock (not the original latch that came with the car)

Prying it with a crowbar

Blowing compressed air on the vacuum line for the locking mechanism at the central pump under the seat

THE.TRUNK.WILL.NOT.OPEN.AT.ALL.THE.TRUNK.WILL.NOT.OPEN.AT.ALL.

Who ever engineered the interior of this car needs to kill themselves. They put the gas tank behind the rear seats so there’s no trunk access from inside

Plz help my human

What model of car? Locks and latches are separate things. Wtf vacuum line are you talking about

If you can fold down a rear seat, crawl in and do a manual release.
If your car is frozen, park somewhere to dethaw and see if that helps

A E class apparently

My human got it opened by switching the vacuum line for the trunk lock with the door lock and unlocking the doors on the fob

That allowed the trunk to open

The mechanism for the trunk lock is just like the door locks on this car where a pump pushes vacuum to the locking mechanisms

The trunk lid is completely damaged though from trying to pry it with a crowbar lol
