Why ford is the greatest vehicle manufacturer in the world

The toughest and best engineered pickup trucks

The toughest and best engineered muscle cars

The toughest and best engineered grocery getters

The first to manufacture insane trim levels for their muscle cars like Shelby GT, Boss 429 , Saleen , Bullit, etc

They heavily underestimate stock performance numbers for insurance purposes like the OG Shelby series for instance

Motorcraft and their partners still manufacture parts for their classic cars

Always leading the way when it comes to breaking records and winning world events (Baja with the raptor for ex)

They can do everything well

Muscle , trucks , economy , Luxury , etc

Even as a cat who can’t drive due to having paws I recognize this

The difference is dodge doesn’t make the Cummins. Ford has made all their own engines.

Outside of the hemi and old LA magnum motors everything made by dodge/Chrysler is literal ****. Everything.

Ford is 1000x better than the garbage dodge is. Everything they make is reliable and top of the line. They’re not a one trick pony.

Dodge is and always has been a throw away vehicle.

True story . My friend works on pipelines , and the foreman won’t even hire people unless they drive a ford or GM truck . Reason is , apparently the guys with dodge trucks were unreliable,as their trucks kept breaking down trying to get to the job site lol .
There ok for a trailer queen I guess , just don’t use them as their intended . Oh and watch those exhaust manifolds bolts , as they have a tendency to pull out regardless

HD wise it’s ford by a nose over dodge with gm in a distant third. The CTD is legendary but the Ford 6.7 hooked onto the 10 speed auto is unreal awesome. The 6.0 and 6.4 are WOAT and it hurt ford drastically but that’s ancient history now. I don’t drive anything smaller than an F-350 because I’m not a woman so I can’t comment on anything other than HD models.

FWIW I also have heard that Dodge vehicles need more repairs. IIRC Ford has [had?] a transmission problem? I think that was it. I briefly looked into hot shot trucking and read comments from people saying that the Ford was better to drive, but that you would be better off leasing it than owning it because the transmissions don't hold up.

I drive a Ram. Been a solid truck since I bought it.

I'd rank Ford and Ram the same.

I'd steer clear of Chevy, poor build quality, almost everyone has had some type of issue with them

If it wasn’t for Ford bringing back the retro design of the 60s and 70s with the 05+ Mustang , the challenger and Camaro would’ve never came back

You should really be questioning how many corners Chevy cut if their corvette is cheaper than fords GT500 …..

Also Shelby already beat everyone back in the late 60s including GMs dadcar

the GT500 doesn’t have anything to prove anymore

Always was a gm guy. AFM cylinder deactivation killed my last one, collapsed lifters of peace. Had transmission issues too. Dealership ended up buying it back after less then a year. Got an f-150 after that experience. It’s a nice truck overall, no major issues, interior is kinda cheap looking in some areas but dosent bother me.

windows quit working amongst other things on a ford I had with 50k miles on it

go buy yourself a 1999 ford taurus as a junker car for just driving to work and let me know how long that pos lasts.

For business purposes I own a Ford transit and a Chevy express. They are two different platforms and not entirely fair to compare (would be better to compare the express to ford's Econoline) but I gotta say the transit is an amazing work vehicle in every way. Has been extremely reliable too I'm almost at 120k miles and no repairs needed aside from general wear and tear. Runs like it's brand new srs and I drive it pretty hard cause I'm a hustler. Anyway the Chevy by comparison sucks ass.
