Best way to thank someone (Srs tag)

What would you appreciate more when getting thanked for doing something nice? A phone call thanking them or a thank you card?

Phone call. Thank you card is the equivalent of a text message from 20 years ago.

A blowie. Or at least a handie with some spit.

Spoiler!
srs: Phone call is more personal, so go with that, OP.

Handwritten thank you card.

A phone call could be construed as overly passive aggressive, and the recipient may end up resenting you for what you inadvertently say during the call.

Card.

- more effort
- recipient doesn't have to thank you for saying thank you, or do the "it's nothing" spiel

my neighbors water my plants and feed the cat whenever the GF and I are away. We usually leave them beer or wine and sometimes a gift card to a restaurant if it's for a long period of time.
