Rate lunch/10

Rate home made lunch/10.

Made this for my boyfriend since he didn't have lunch prepared for tomorrow and I'm off.

Korean fried rice
Double fried Korean chicken with some home made gochujang sauce.
Ajitsuke tomago (medium soft boiled eggs thats marinated in a soy brine that results in a goey, cream center....delicious for ramen)
Soy beans

Came home, started cooking at 1am--finished everything by 2. So it all took 1 hr which isn't too bad.

That actually looks pretty good. I do most of the cooking here but it's nice to have someone make the meal once in a while.

You're making me want to bust out my wok and make some Asian stuff. Might hit up the shop in town and do just that later today.

I've been busy the last few months because of school/work, but because I have a lighter course load this semester I have a bit more time and started work on a new drawing, however would love to learn to paint like you.

Yeah been cooking like thar for a while and never had issues with weight... but I found it was all the sugar in the bubble tea that got us...when we first started dating we'd go all the time. No more bbt runs 2-3x/week.

Mirin hard. I just had my lunch, which was some weak chicken stir fry and I did use some sauce I made up with gochujiang or w/e it's spelled. I got a huge tub of it and have been trying to use it up quickly. Very good stuff!

Mmmm, chicken stir fry sounds good. I haven't made stir fry for a while. Maybe I should! It is really great stuff, and I use it for a lot of different dishes (mainly korean). If you want to try the sauce I made since you have some laying around:

I fry ginger in oil until fragrant. Add garlic until fragrant. Gochujang, strawberry jam (for sweetness), soy sauce, a bit of mirin, sesame oil, vinegar to taste, pepper flakes for spice, and water if it's too thick. Very simple!

Updating this thread since don't want to make another one. But my cooking for today (a bit lazy and not as delicious as the original post).

Homemade pierogies (boiled then pan friend in butter, cheese, caramelized onions), boiled cabbage, olives, and some hot dogs.

Zubrowka is vodka with this light herbal taste. We’d order pierogis with all sorts of fillings, including fruit. “Polish pizza” (zapiekanka). Kielbasa of course. This stuffed potato pancake thing (przekladaniec zakopianski). They had good steak tartar too.

Damn that all sounds good. After a hard days work, eating delicious variety filled pierogies and polish pizza doing rounds of zubrowka shots. Invite next time, please.

I love herbal drinks, gin included.
Also wanted to try experimenting with different fillings next time
And now I'm adding polish pizza to my list of things I need to make.
