Car brahs GTFIH : Plz help my human figure out what’s making this noise DFS (video)

He’s thinking destroyed needle bearing that sits in the wheel hub or worn axle shaft (4x4) but isn’t sure

It makes a rotational clacking noise and he can’t find it or recreate it with the truck jacked up off the ground. Nothing feels loose either.

Locking and unlocking his hubs make no difference, noise is still there either way

Plz help with his old poverty super duty k thanks

Brb wind noise/10.

Cld be many things but a steady clack clack cld be the ussuall suspects: u joints/driveshaft,( even if the hubs arent locked in they still turn) wheel bearings,( though they ussually go with grinding and squeeking, cv axle joints go on trucks alot and are are pretty easy fix.

Im no mechanic but likely its u joints/cv axel judging by buddies vague description.
Habit is powerfull and custom can Kill.

I joints are good on the driveshafts

The front driveshaft got taken out for process of elimination

Wind noise is ear piercing but if you turn it all the way up you can hear it better after the throttle is let off a bit towards the end

Might even be tire noise since they’re worn and cupped but it’s sounds too metallic to just be the tires IMO

Yeah its repedtive moving metal parts,target the driveline from the wheel hubs all the way to transfer case is what id do. Keep in mind a truck can seem "tight" when jacked up and felt by hand but when running under its own weight etc,can nake noises.
Habit is powerfull and custom can Kill.

Jack truck up, spin wheels, try to pry them side to side to check for sloppy bearing. If it increases with speed its prob wheel bearing

Why do they make a fast clicking noise ? My human has never had off road tires that do that even if they’re worn uneven. That’s a first for us.

It turns into a louder clack once it gets up to highway speeds.

All I'm hearing is tire noise. Have you checked them for a nail or a rock stuck in the tread?

I only hear tire noise? Bro when was the last time you checked the pressure? It naturally decreases when it's cold and will make more noise. I'm sure you knew that already.

If it is actually clicking or humming, the first thing I would think of is a wheel bearing going out. Pretty common for those to wear out, especially on older tradie trucks.

All i hear is tire noise in that as well. Whe it does make a clack, is it only in gear or does it stop if you put it in neutral?
