If you put 10,000 in tecl (3x leveraged tech companies in the sp500) in 2012 you would have 300,000 today and would have 1,000,000 just 1 year ago.

I agree with your thesis about LETFs being underrated vehicles of wealth generation.
Crypto is pretty stochastic with no guarantee of anything really. People get lucky, and the tech is interesting, but I wouldn't rely on it for retirement.
Versus taking advantage of greater market forces over the long-term, with the right leverage and risk tolerance - I agree with you. People mistake leverage for genius and go right into buying things like options but don't understand premium or theta so they pay their options tuition and get killed. Or worse, they get lucky, and learn the harder way.
LETFs you have no theta, no real premium, yes there's a small beta decay, but I would argue that the advantage of the leverage far outpaces any miniscule beta decay.

Leveraged ETFs can be very profitable, but they are risky. Timing is everything. If you started with SPXL 13 months ago, you would have lost half of your investment.

Btw you can almost leverage anything with option constructions.

In europe you have "turbo's", basically mutliple leverages on any kind of stock, index, etc. With a stop loss so you don't lose more than what you put in of course.

Leverage is great if you know what you're doing, timing is key with these products.

Pretty decent advice OP. Though I don't know right now is exactly the best time. The S&P is likely in for a steady, deep decline this year. A 15-20% drop is certainly likely, so it's something I'll consider later on in the year.

I have 143,000.

So far I’ve lost 1% on my leveraged etfs. I used to only invest in the sp500 , which I made huge gains since I invested during the covid boom, then vong and now a combo of voo, leveraged and vong
