As someone who rented for 5 years and then bought a place, I can tell you that being a rentcel is the worst thing you can do (financially speaking). You're just giving away all your money to some landlord with nothing to show for it. People get stuck in the rentcel trap for years, having their rent raised every year so they can never save up for a house. Don't put yourself in that situation. If you have the option, stay with your parents until you can buy a property. It doesn't matter what people think, people are dumb and so are their opinions

It might be a ball ache now since I can’t bring sloots home but gotta think long term.
