This business owes me 10k

I did land clearing and they owe me 1600 from a job and then another 8900 for another job. It’s a big deal cause my mom works there then one of the workers there who is top salesman ended up buying into my business for 34% we did jobs for land clearing at the company he worked for. He got out and I cussed him and the owner of the business out. They say they are going to pay me like 7k but I’m wondering if I should try to take them down. And get all of it. Gotta be fraud right?

do you have the contract in writing? if so maybe tell them you will take them to court if they do not pay you in full within 30 days.

if not, always get it in writing next time.

This. If it’s in writing, it would seem open and shut. May take a lot of time and lawyers will get a third.

Also get your papers in order. The work order paper needs to be filled out for large tickets.

Consider yourself lucky if you get 7k out of it
