I challenge group norms and I am a "culture busting troll" because forums tend to be dominated by idle "chit chatters" who create "echo chambers" and I despise that quality in people. So, agitation and anxiety is formed in posters who are invested in norms that I know aren't real and can easily rip apart and keep doing so endlessly due to the way I think.

It's designed to promote an echo chamber and that's because these forums were supposed to be linked to business.

So, you can create a poll here and lets say the forum is about dining in Philly. You can create a poll asking "Do you enjoy dining in Philly" and then the mods can see who voted.

The people who voted "no" can be moderated, banned, etc and then that creates a forum for only people loving philly restaurants, with no critics. That then turns your forum into advertising space for Philly restaurant owners, and you can make money.

The rep system does the same thing.

So, the structure of the forums contributes to Group Think and so forth because they were designed to.

Of course. People make conservative, echo chamber threads on here to get more reps but in reality who really cares? I think it's like likes on social media, where every time you see a "like" you get a dopamine burst. Thus a "rep" gives most people a rush just like a "like" does.

People want to get those dopamine highs so they keep going.

"Group-specific standards" - Conservative posts.
"Disapproving late-arriving members" - Disapproving sloots, overweight people, Biden, Zoomers, etc.
"The closure for the group as a whole or the individual that left." - People make "Goodbye Misc" threads.

It's a sleep number. So I can adjust my side, and so can my wife. We can also heat and cool each side independently. I'm 6'2 and King is fine. California king is narrower.

We also use two mattress hypoallergenic covers, and replace the top one every year. So no dirty mattress.

He talks out of his ass so much to try to appear smarter than he is that all you need to do is a simple google search to see how wrong he is 90% of the time. The only thing he has a decent knowledge about is psychology, and there have been many times he's been wrong about that stuff, too.

I believe anyone can get to be extremely strong through tiny incremental lifting.

I learned that from a story I read as a kid, not from reading about lifting.

This king was famous for being able to lift a bull.

That's because since he and the bull were little, he lifted the bull every day.

However, he was going to put on a show for the people when he was an adult and lift the bull.

He lifted the bull and then died from the stress.

At the very last moment, he said to the bull, what happened? The bull said, I don't know you, I'm not your bull.

So, the moral of that story is to trying to do something you are not used to can destroy you.

I learned to not lift weights I wasn't used to from that story and that's how I was able to squat so much. It was never my goal to!
