Rate my lazy man Taco Tuesday

Grilled flap meat, fresh corn tortillas, little bit of Bibb lettuce and Valentina hot sauce.

I ate 6 of these.



Meat came out so good I didn’t want the cheese or pico. And I am being lazy.

The valentina sauce is an absolute disgrace in that taco, but overall better than expected

Usually I would have made a homemade pico or salsa but I didn’t have any fresh jalapeño ls or Serrano. And my wife used the rest of the queso fresco for arepas. I didn’t feel like going to the grocery store.

So I look for hot sauce that doesn't have garlic. Valentina doesn't have garlic on the ingredient label but maybe they sneak it in there under the general spices category.
I like Valentina but typically only use it for ground beef.

Sometimes if late and after a few drinks I’ll make some ground beef seasoned with taco type spices like chilis, cumin etc and I’ll just throw it in hard shell tacos with a white cheese and Valentina.

Pretty good when you’re a little buzzed.

I'd eat that. With Tapatío though. Or Arizona Gunslinger Red Jalapeño Pepper Sauce. Just discovered that stuff in AZ and it's damn good.

I know I’m in the minority on this one but while Mexican is prob my favorite cuisine, I don’t like the corn tortillas. I like the Americanized flour ones far better.

Mexican cuisine uses flour tortillas as well. I am pretty sure for steak tacos it’s preferred.
