How much liquor can you handle over the course of an evening?

years back i would down around 300ml of vodka during pre drinks and basically be wiped for the rest of the evening

feels bad man since years later i'm closer to like 600-700ml territory before guaranteeing absolute drunkenness and a morning hangover

Generally its around 20 total drinks if I'm trying to get hammered without getting sick

I like to dilute mine heavily so I can sip away at it for a while whilst simultaneously hydrating myself

Tolerance is a bitch. I don’t think many people find it something to be proud of past 30 or so, it’s just expensive. Breaks from drinking help a little, but it comes right back after a couple of days in a row. One of those riding a bicycle things, tolerance comes right back to you.

Depends on the circumstances of the day and what kind of base of food I had going into it, whether I was smart about having plenty of water throughout, etc. I’ve had 750ml and been in really awful shape a couple times but have also had that or close to it a few times and been fine because I spaced it out with water rather than draining drinks one after another all night. I don’t recommend doing either of those things though.

Craft beers about 5 tall cans and I'll be hung over like crazy the next day.

Mixed drinks I have no idea but probably about eight before I hit the deck. I'd never drink that much anymore.

Twenty years ago it would have been double that.

Yeah, on a totally empty stomach I’ll notice a glass of wine for sure. But traveling in Germany and filling up on a huge schnitzel with potatoes first, a couple liters of dark beer is no problem if I don’t pound it.

A lot.... I've killed 1/2 a bottle of Don Q 151 in one evening and I still was able to maintain composure, eloquence and articulation....
