New Hampshire school district bans urinals. Kids walk out in protest...

Students walked out of a New Hampshire school in protest of the district banning the use of urinals and shared spaces in locker rooms, according to a report.

On Friday, about 150 students walked out of Milford High School and middle school in protest of the new bathroom restrictions.

The protest came after a lengthy debate by the board of education over whether to separate school bathrooms and locker rooms at the school by the sex assigned at birth and not gender identity.

One student who participated in the walkout told a local television station that students were not consulted about the new policy.

“Nobody that I know – ask anyone here – no one requested this change,” student Jay Remella told WMUR during the walkout. “It was solely made by the school board and a parent complaint.”

If some people feel awkward using urinals, by all means give them somewhere else to piss, but stopping people who are happy using urinals from using urinals is stupid, if only for the reason that they take up much less space than cubicles. I've been in a few places that only have single user toilets, and pretty much all the seats are covered in piss, another plus for urinal use.

Imagine the insanity that the use of urinals discriminates against people who can't pee standing up.


This would like banning the use of toilet paper because boys don't have to wipe their dicks every time they have to piss.

NH schools are usually pretty well run compared to the rest of the country, but this Milford thing is a total chit show. Every week it just gets stupider. The school board and administrators should all be purged from the state school system and banished to Massachusetts.

It actually costs the school more money, as well as being stupid. When you make the bathroom all stalls, it requires more square footage per person pissing. So you can either have less people able to use the bathroom or you need bigger, and therefore more expensive, bathrooms.

More and more parents are taking their children out of public schools for these types of insane policies.

We are trying to decide between private and home schooled atm. We have a couple of years before she starts school and we can jump a lot of the waiting lists at the good private schools, but it still needs to be discussed in advance.

And this instance is even worse - the facilities already exist, but are moronically blocked from use. So now each restroom originally designed to support a certain number of students, can support much less.

Looks like the covers could be completely taken off in about 20 seconds with a pocket knife. I would hope some of the boys are doing so and their parents are telling them to go ahead. If a boy gets caught and suspended tell him to go to school anyway.

We’re going to homeschool the first couple of years and see how it goes. We have a decent homeschool community. Worst case we wait until middle or highschool to send them into the wild.

I’m not totally getting the gist of this . The school board covered up the urinals for what exactly , a complaint regarding the use of the bathrooms because the school board wanted to designate bathrooms via birth gender ?
