Banks, corporations and governments are just starting mass adoption of Crypto. There are literally bitcoin ATM's popping up all over the place in the city I live in. It would be a mistake to think that there will never be another major bull run. Its only a matter of time before another bull run occurs in the stock market and in crypto.

As far as buying gold VS bitcoin Vs S&P500. I'm not telling you what to do. But a person would have to be an idiot to ignore Crypto.

Keep buying gold. Hopefully one day you can sell it and retire.

I was one of the very few that has been trying to convince people it's a scam the whole time.

I know the financial industry. There's nothing that suggests crypto will be a currency outside of a few niche cases. Blockchain has value; crypto does not really.

Gold isn't an investment. It's a storage of wealth. Bitcoin and the S&P are artificially inflated. You realize almost every single person you know got obliterated by bitcoin and sure aren't making a whole lot of money from the S&P 500, right?

Tell people to compare their 401ks now to 2019/2020.

Never look at gold and silver numbers. They aren't worth the price that is pushed. 1oz of silver equates to 250 paper oz of silver. It's literally traded 250 times in the derivatives market. JP Morgan gets slapped with $1 billion fines for manipulating the precious metals markets.

There's a reason they do that. They want all the retards in valueless and non-existent internet numbers and not with actual physical currency. Of course they want you too look at how bitcoin when from $11 to 68k and made all these millionaires! Hence the pump and dumps and most people losing their asses because they came to the party late via gambling. They want to dissuade you from purchasing physical assets so they manipulate the price to make gold and silver look retarded to buy while they all buy it up for pennies on the dollar.

It will be a funny thing to see everyone join in the gold and silver commodity race once they implode the economy and it will be too late, just like when people were too late with bitcoin. Enjoy putting yourself on a public ledger with bitcoin and opening yourself up to getting hacked and relying on currency entirely online.

that chart is so misleading that its literally retarded. gold pumped nearly 3x leading up to 2012 which is right before that chart starts. crypto was new and the bull run for the stock market resulting from coming out of the 2008 crash started around 2012 as well.

My Bitcoin is up 25%, and Ethereum is down 6% (bought at various stages during the rollercoaster of the $1200-1600 range).

Still going to hold. If Ethereum goes up a decent amount past my investments, I might just throw everything into VOO, make monthly installments and forget it exists. My Bitcoin gains are nice, but the anxiety of watching the market everyday is the real killer lmao.

Only way to do it is HODL, BTC has never had a negative 4-year period. But super high risk so only bet a small amount of your portfolio 10%.

I don't know anyone that got obliterated by bitcoin. As for me, I 100xed my initial investment in crypto. I'm hoping to 100X on the next bull run as well but we'll see.

I think you're consuming too much doomer content man. If things really get that bad and the dollar goes to zero. The entire stock market crashes and is worthless. And gold and silver is the only thing of value. We have bigger problems then our 'net worth'. You should probably be investing in a homestead, livestock, chickens, gardening, and bullets.

https://www.longtermtrends.net/stock...ld-comparison/

Take a look at the last 100 years of stocks vs gold/silver. I really wouldn't want to tie up a significant amount of my net worth into Gold as a young man. Maybe 10% tops as an older guy with a few million in assets.

Achieving 1M in the stock market is no big deal. 1M in bitcoin is even easier to achieve if you trade/buy right. Buying/trading/acquiring 1M in gold is quite a feat. I don't think its reasonable for the average man.

I'm not anti-gold. I think holding 5-10% of your portfolio in physical gold is fine. Its actually cool as hell. But lets be real. We live in a fast-paced world. Unless there is total government and societal collapse the stock market and cryptocurrency will be around.

I'd probably just count your wins, walk out of that casino and go OOO man. Much more stable. Crypto was a fad and it's dying. A lot of people fell for it and they're slowly coming to terms with it. Nobody uses it as a currency.

The world has changed a lot in 10 years man. You may be right. But I don't see the digital era ending any time soon. In 10 more years you're going to have a whole new batch of 20 something year olds that buy into it. And if the technology improves and we may see real world use in that time frame. Its highly likely crypto will be used in video games as in game currency in the near future.

Crypto is still an extremely new concept in the grand scheme of things. I think 99% of them out there will fade into obscurity and be worthless. But if just 1% of them work out they are going to be an important part of our lives in the future.

There are anywhere from 200,000-350,000 Bitcoin transactions per day and around 1 million Ethereum transactions per day. With more then 85 million active crypto wallets. Yes in the grand scheme of the population of the world these are fairly small numbers. But don't pretend like nobody is using it. A lot of high net worth individuals are most certainly buying & holding Bitcoin and Ethereum.

I most certainly don't want the US dollar to vanish and us to go to some kind of digital currency. But I don't think its a good idea to put your head in the sand and pretend like it doesn't exist or will not exist in 10 years. I initially felt the same way about it until I started doing some research then started buying/selling.

I disagree and again, I know this industry uniquely well.

Why would a person playing a video game use a crypto currency over the dollar?

The dollar is instant, it's digital, it's stable, and 100% backed by your government and protected, less likely to be stolen, more fraud protections, etc. What would the benefit be of using a crypto currency be in that use case? I'll be surprised if you come up with an answer to that.

The dollar is real-time (instant) now, and digital itself.

Those volumes are incredibly small, the transactions are often just investment purchases and trading.

Most of my crypto I made by flipping NFTs. If it all goes to ****, whatever, time wasted, at least I didn't put my savings into it.

We all wish we sold in nov. '21, but just lol if you didn't take ANY profits.

And you can still make money in crypto, don't just dump your bags like that

It is horse****. Does nothing money can’t already do. Fails at being a real currency as the fees and **** are too high if everyone actually uses it. Crypto is a huge pump and dump. Invest in VOO.

Yup, I have my lottery tickets locked and loaded. Play money, won't sell unless it buys me a new house.

Staking is a great way to weather the storm. Accumulate for free and wait.

With all this CEX BS going on, anyone see DEX and Defi getting a huge uptick in the next bull run?
