Maybe if I lived in Japan, but def not otherwise. Brb letting minimum wage teenager handle raw food. Brb dead.

A grocery store near me has a 3rd party come in and makes sushi fresh. The selection is limited but they all taste great. I think a container of spicy crab is 7.5-9 oz and costs only $5.50 each. That's their budget line. It's almost a 50/50 ratio of rice/filling, but great for a budget. Their higher end rolls are incredible and cost about $9 each for a similar size. For a store in the middle of Wyoming I consider it good.

It's not like some fast food workers. Every time I get sushi from a grocer it seems to be a legit sushi chef back there and he always give you a little bow to show his gratitude
