LE/Mil make up the largest portion of their customer base. How many civilians are going to spend $1200-2000 on a laser for their rifle then another $3000+ for a night vision/helmet setup. Furthermore when you have NVG+ lasers you pretty much need a SBR + suppressor as well. BRB $6000+ worth of gear to shoot paper targets at night a few times per year.



On the flip side just one law enforcement agency might make $50,000-$100,000 purchases in lump sums.

When it comes to ammo its not uncommon for agencies to spend $100K-300K per year for ammo in bulk purchases. For this reason ammo companies cater to/prioritize LE/mil as well. There is pretty much never price gouging or "shortages" for high volume customers.

I've tried ACOGs and red dots before, always went back to EOTech.

I don't like the eye relief and non-adjustable zoom on ACOGs, and I just don't like not having the ring on red dots.

The bottom tick on the ring of EOTechs are dead nuts on target for 7 yards and in for close quarters engagements.

We had PEQ15's on our m4 and has very little training with them. We did NVG training with the IR lasers and that's pretty neat. Would be a terrible terrible position to be in the dark on the other end of that.

I’ve also never been crazy about my Comp M4 or T2.

The 4x ACOG is like the finest sight of all time for the AR, especially M16/Full Size builds.

In general EXPS3.0 is a sight I also fall back on every single time. The speed of target acquisition, the sight picture, build quality, clarity, ruggedness.

There's definitely been an increase in the number of people running NODS or thermal, and the cost of these devices is definitely coming down.

The disparity between State and Citizen is definitely exaggerated at night though.
