Rate My Recent Dinners Boyos (pics)

Just crushed a NY Strip with chimichurri. A little pissed I slightly overcooked the steak since I was chopping the chimichurri up as I was cooking and wasn't paying attention. Still came out medium besides the one end. Oh well, it happens. Still tasted amazing.

The other night I made curry seasoned chicken thighs and a vegetable soup with basically everything I had. The best chicken I have ever cooked and the best soup of any kind I have cooked in my life. I'd say I'm getting to be a solid home cook finally and starting to get the hang of flavorings.

Never would have thought cooking would become an actual hobby for me. I just have to thank fast food and restaurants getting more expensive with lower quality food and service to push me to get good at cooking.

I love chimichurri. Those fooking Argentinians had a good idea.

What kind of compound butters do you make? I've never done it but see tons of vids of guys using their own.

NY strip needs to be done on the grill. Filet and Ribeye are ok on a pan because they're tender no matter what you do to them.
I never have issues with NY strip and cooking on a cast iron unless I mismanage it. uwotm8? This was still extremely tender. I salt brine all of my steaks before cooking and baste them all.

I do love cooking steak on a grill though because it gives it that different flavor.

Honestly I scour youtube before bed usually. I'll watch a lot of gordon ramsay things, or I'll think of a dish I would like to make like vegetable soup, then search it up and watch a bunch of videos to see how I want to do it or which recipe I'll use/base it off of.

If you or anyone ever wants recipes for any dish I post just let me know and I'll send you the videos or recipes I use or base things off of.
