It is nothing to brag about but I am afraid if I ever mention it I will be attacked. Have people been caught lying about that? I don't remember anything like that years ago.

There are right-wingers here who claim to have PhDs, and one who claims he has two. I don't see them being endlessly harassed to provide evidence of their credentials.

It is politically driven? I know there was always a split with miscers and politics but I am curious as to when this change happened? I really don't recall anyone being called out for saying they had a degree back then. Although, it rarely ever came up back then too, at least from what I remember.

I have a Masters, and I don't give a shyt if anyone here believes me or not. That degree doesn't really mean shyt, and that's part of why I don't give a damn about whether he's in a PhD program or not. I have enough experience with academia to not give a shyt about someone's "education level"...plenty of idiots and losers who can't accomplish anything in the real world hiding out in that realm. Judge what I post on it's own merit.

I definitely think one's education is only called into question if they are leftist. Since there are right-wingers here who claim to be more educated than I am, yet no one questions their credentials. Plus, the skepticism isn't really warranted in either of our cases. You said you attempted your doctorate but didn't complete? I believe that. No reason to fraud about that.

What did I say? I said I'm in the PhD program and finished the first draft of my thesis. That's not actually a really outlandish claim. Besides, I think we are both fairly articulate and eloquent so being in grad school is certainly no stretch of the imagination on my end.
